  1. Ah see - I’ve been spending so much. I’d love this. Damn.
  2. Think your best bet for cataloging models is to go by era. there are 1000’s of variations on a theme, also up until recently - and probably still... Yamaha make “Japan Only” editions. its a minefield
  3. Nope. Think we tried once. Bedlam ensued.
  4. If it was a 4...think £500 is ambitious, the last few 4’s I’ve seen have been about £300 but I’m just sore I missed out on one here for bargain basement...
  5. They don’t crop up much in the UK - think I’d like one
  6. Where do you find them cheaper than 425’s?! And by “classier” I mean smarter, less trashy than yellow 😉
  7. Lava red or green sparkle - to match the inlays
  8. Bass ain’t bad either 😉
  9. Pedro sold me a brilliant Marcus Miller Fender. We actually made contact through Facebook. He was absolutely ace throughout and packed it to arrive safely from Portugal. Great Guy, but with confidence - even though he’s a new Member, you’ll be ok with him.
  10. If it’s any use, my old NS-94 used to sound like a broken radio when the battery was going...
  11. @Merton tagged me in something on Instagram. Not quite the crowning glory I’d anticipated, in fact it’s a bit of a mess. But...done within the hour. Remember this track being a real ear opener when I’d been used to the Later pop ballad Level 42 my dad listened to. Might have another crack at this with the Sadowsky and actually set up the sound (and re-learn the song 😉)
  12. As old as it’s gums and a little older than it’s teeth
  13. Would it be worth contacting competitors such as postage supermarket etc.
  14. Hi Harry - I started playing at 12/13, I’d say play for fun, find mates to play with and enjoy it. Listen to all types of music no matter how ‘uncool’ it may be. Be patient - I remember someone telling me in 1998 “you never stop learning” - and they were right. Practice - but spend time listening. Wish I’d learned to listen earlier instead of just hearing... Basschat is an amazing resource, I’ve been here 11 years nearly. Some of the people I’ve met through here have become good friends - but there’s an absolute wealth of knowledge and wisdom to go at. When posting for advice - explain where you’re up to and the good folk here will guide you. Enjoy playing bass though - it’s been a real door opener for me, and continues to be so. take care dude - look forward to seeing you post 👍🏼
  15. I surprise myself mate, if I could just apply this skill to something useful... Anyhow, sorry @bassfan I’m in...for now
  16. Traben Neo, ESP/Ltd b-206
