  1. I wouldn’t guarantee that...
  2. Right...the girl singer we’d not agreed on was due to arrive tonight. didnt seem to fit to me, but happy to take a chance. she messaged at 7.40 ”I can’t believe I’ve double booked” - she definitely hadn’t. saves messing about.
  3. I’ve been in a position to afford one plenty of times...not today, granted... Never wanted one. No real problem with them, just not on my list - like Ritter basses. I’m in the 1% too. Actually, that entire comment is an odd assumptive clause of nonsense. 😉 But - we get it, you like them, and fair play to you for that.
  4. Bought recently because I’ve always wanted one. It came coated in dust and standing dirt with mucky strings. Took 2 hours of full disassembly and fret polish/oiled fingerboard/polish/clean... Just came at the wrong time and I absolutely don’t want to do it. I listed my Sadowsky and got a b*llocking off Everyone...the sale of that would’ve cleared everything. But that’s my baby. so I have to shift other stuff... Fuming...I might change my mind on this as I’ve never been so chuffed with a “budget” purchase...apart from my orange BB (yes, that one). Anyhow - mid 1990’s Korean - possibly a prototype but that’s conjecture from a US Aria distributor. Aria branded pickups, vol/tone/selector switch. Ash Body, maple 3 piece 24 fret neck with rosewood fingerboard. Nice angled headstock. Condition for age is mental - really clean, just a couple of light marks. Still has the plastic sheets on the back of the machine heads. Decent weight - is just under 9lbs. mad tort pickguard. Low action. Really playable...writing this and already thinking I’m stupid for this... Anyhow, a choice of 2 ratty gigbags - whichever suits. can ship, probably £35 insured in the UK. Collection Manchester (Swinton) would be best.
  5. Bump happy to listen to offers on this.
  6. Lush. Unfortunately just starting a clear out of my own. this won’t hang around long, and under normal circumstances it’d be mine.
  7. I had two. They are superb basses. My pink one ended up with an EMG P/J set - but I preferred the original passive black one. really lovely feeing necks - wider than a Jazz, but really flat.
  8. I get the splinters out of my backside with tweezers 😉😂 I didn’t feel the need to attack him and I honestly do admire anyone who can make a living off doing what they love.
  9. Now then... I wanted to see this but resisted. Looks ace
  10. Played it tonight. No chance. Sorry for any interested parties. Too good.
  11. I think he’s an unbelievable player, he’s fantastic at what he does and I love that he’s obviously hugely successful. I’m full of admiration for him. The “oh, and one more thing I forgot...” type e-mails nark me a bit. And I get plenty. It’s very much the nature of the beast - he’s an online marketeer. It doesn’t work on me...but I get that it’s how his operation works. He’s sort of become the latter day Clarkson era Top Gear of online bass tuition. It’s for the masses and people buy into it big time - he’s successful and people grow to resent the ubiquitousness of it all. Others adore it. “Like sh*t in a field” As my grandad used to say. More power to him. Wish I’d thought of it first - as well as Wishing I’d learned to be more theoretically minded rather than my “hit it and see what comes out” method of playing. I signed up for a free trial and didn’t look at it - I think it was for a competition entry. I reckon he’s probably a really sound bloke, and I bet I’d find his website useful. But I’m not drawn to it. He doesn’t offend me, and I should just block his spam. He’s good at what he does, a very slick operator. Not for me though.
  12. Yeah - I was too when I sobered up. Still - I agree with my logic at the time. See if anyone wants the ultimate miller without the headaches I went through to get it to where it is.
  13. The pickguard is bang on really - just the battery compartment isn’t 100% flush. The black Original one will come with The bass.
  14. I found the 55 we shared at one point sounded like neck pickup of a Jazz
  15. Classed as Rebel Blue...doubt I can do the insurance on the polestar
  16. Might do...
  17. I did. Sometimes I get more rational when souped up.
