  1. Avon
  2. Avon Sg? Antoria SG? Ibanez SG? Not a mega clear photo - if it’s Japanese/Korean in origin, @Bassassin will be able to ID it.
  3. Looks ace
  4. @Eldon Tyrell beat me to it 2015. Miss mine. Nice feeling basses.
  5. The Chinese ones were made by Farida/Grand Reward - same as the Fender Modern Player series. The newer ones are made by Cort.
  6. I’m pretty good for gear really. but I’d say a WAL mk1 4 string in some sort of blue burst. But I’d love a maple board. Amp wise - I’d love a new ABM head and 2 410’s.
  7. @bassfan will match the new miller
  8. @Quilly very nice, my mate runs a shop and had a used black one in last year. Should’ve jumped on it at £180
  9. Lovely. 1999 is correct as it wasn’t in production in 89/09.
  10. Think the original white/parchment looks best too. Classy looking bass. Great price too - worryingly local to me too. Just checked the wallet though and thruppence h’apenny won’t do it.
  11. Charcoal Frost Metallic that - absolutely ace colour.
  12. I dunno, I’ve played 100’s of classic vibes - used to sell 3 or 4 a week. They’re consistent, but the hardware (machineheads) let them down. I’ve owned and played 80’s Jap Squiers - I’m still trying to buy one back (sold when going through a messy separation, not because I wanted to) and done set ups and restrings on a fair few of the 90’s ones. Great workhorse basses - bit more solid feeling than the CV’s. If the OP has spotted this one, it’s ticked his fancy and he gets it for a good price - I wouldn’t dissuade him or push him to something else. And that Red Stripe sticker adds value 😂😉
  13. Welcome. Get a nice tort on that, sort of budget Pino.
  14. Early 90’s Jap Squiers vary - but are on the up. £300-£450 depending on condition. About £350 is good money
  15. Looks legit. Wouldn’t fake that model - you’d fake an early 80’s JV if you were faking a squier.
  16. This looks ace. Absolutely lovely looking bass
  17. Well...let me tell you. 😉
  18. Thanks to this thread, I’ve spent all day listening to Whitesnake
  19. I’d do some measurements first. I fitted a Tele neck to a P body a few years ago. I can’t remember how I did it now. Thing I squared the heel pocket.
  20. Well. Yes. But someone with the skills and tools to reshape a headstock wouldn’t struggle to adjust
  21. Oh, jazz width. Sorry
  22. https://www.dv247.com/en_GB/GBP/Fender-1951-Precision-Bass-Neck/art-BAS0010486-000?campaign=GShopping/GB&ProgramUUID=5G_AqJarZwoAAAFl0FZyjI8V&gclid=CjwKCAjw1K75BRAEEiwAd41h1LL1hRLjyBMzhTXy2HTOxyYYnW6fz4pSvKFWKyCbWUh6Xy79t9yJJRoCM18QAvD_BwE
  23. Well, yes to both - sounds awful but the drummer and I really get on, have similar ideas and approaches. The singer will do things like “send the track over without drums” and then record a really OTT drum take from his electronic kit over the idea. Again - the ideas/demos he’s done this over are ones I’ve sent as a part of this batch. But now they don’t “grab” him - ? At rehearsals, he’ll pick up a guitar, the bass or sit behind the drums and do the “it’s easy this” routine. Very uncomfortable. When I was explaining all the shenanigans to Mrs T last night, it was actually a long list Of complaints to consider.
  24. No, I was being a tit. It’s basically what he’s getting at. ”we need a slow one” ”a faster one” talking about “feel” I just booked my head over this a fair bit yesterday and @PatrickJ was a big help - as was a chilled vino once the kids were in bed.
  25. @PatrickJ I’ve sent you them
