  1. There seem to be a few versions there are 3 logo types - TV logo (like a 70’s P) - The Silver foil logo plus the AE logo (like the one Matt just posted) - The silver foil logo with nothing other than Fender on the head. Weirdness...they appeared in the 1991 catalogue and were then gone by the revised 1993 catalogue. There are ones with F logo knobs, and then some with Black dome knobs. Thats before you get into the HM version with the hockey stick/Jackson headstock. The preamp on mine is the Heartfeld one - suggesting 1991 ish.
  2. Hahaha @hookys6stringbass you beat me to it
  3. I had one for a while a CS relic 55, sold it to @Beedster They sound sort of like a soloed Jazz neck pickup. I love how they look - but the neck was HUUUGE. Wide like a P should be, but then deep too - even more so than my mates MIJ 51. I never gelled, and flogged it to buy a Blue CS 64 Jazz.
  4. People Help The People - Cherry Ghost Vessel In Vain - Smog think that’s it for now... I always wanted “Anaesthesia/Pulling Teeth - Metallica/Cliff Burton” at the committal. That would be cool...
  5. If I said your legs looked terrible in shorts...would you hold them against me...🤔
  6. I have a mate who wears them between March and November... I only wear shorts when it’s sunny (so about 4 days a year in Manchester 😉)
  7. I make no excuses, I do it way too much, I’ve used it in bands and it’s unfortunately like a default setting at times. I absolutely can play other styles, and I do lots of that too. I completely agree it’s done to death. But to me it’s just the same as a pick, finger style or using an ebow...a sound/style/technique. There are quite a few YouTube/Instagram players who do it to an extent I find moderately offensive - only because it’s thrown at every song and is their “thing”. It’s like chocolate. Nice to have every now and then, but will make you sick eventually if you binge on it. I certainly don’t get the “slap is crap” mentality - just like I would never Deride a pick style player (Bobby Vega/Cody Wright?). And so on.
  8. Well. I was about to ask “what’s it like to win the lottery?”
  9. Sold Jon a Fender P - lovely bloke. Enjoy the YOB magic!
  10. I’m not one for chucking stuff on bonfires when it’s salvageable... But that’s a disgrace.
  11. This looks amazing. And the pink inlays shouldn’t work but really do. Insanely jealous of people who can just knock up a bass out of some planks...
  12. I saw it for sale recently - don’t know if this is the original seller or buyer. It’s gorgeous.
  13. Must stop looking at this - It’s tempting me.
  14. Haha. Took me ages - in my bedraggled state
  15. So it’s arrived. A little less “excellent condition” than the guy stated - but it’s cool. Have tweaked it so it plays great. Need to re-foam the p pickup as it’s right in the body. Will sort that another day. Currently battling an epic hangover from yesterday’s social distancing VE Day street party. My Neighbour loves gin. So once the beer rations were done...he started showing me the various flavours he has. god knows what time it all ended. All I do know is that we’re both rough.
  16. GAS has no cure. Impulsivity is admired and derided equally. People, on the whole are good.
  17. Think he’s that guy on eBay who bodges guitars for a living.
  18. I was maybe a little flippant on my earlier comment. They messed an order up once, I took it personally. I eventually got over it 😂
  19. The only one remotely passable was the SG. I started with a bit of empathy for the guy in the video. The more I’ve thought about it...I really feel he’s a busybody. Anyhow, rich tone had me as a customer once, if their customer service doesn’t put people off, I doubt a few shonky used guitars will.
  20. Difficult one - and seems like the boss will sort. I think I’ve interacted with the guy in this video on Facebook over a bass I had with a limelight neck on it. He went round and round, I blocked him and sold the bass. I completely get his point. I’m just not sure what he gets from policing the world of second hand sales on Facebook and eBay. Anyhow. A big retailer should know better - but if sorted I see it of a “hey did you spot this, it’s wrong” ‘no I didn’t and I’ll sort it’ Bit of a non story in the end.
