I’ve slowed down…more stuff is staying…which Mrs T is getting a bit fed up with. i have been allocated a space when Iris’ works are completed “it’ll be just your room”

I’d hoped to travel down as well, but I’m on half term break the week before - they only allow us time off for direct family. Hopefully it’s well attended x

You’re starting to sound like Mrs T…🫢

Looks like a problem only the Gordon Smith can fix…

The A.M - The A.M album - Michael Tighe’s band post Jeff Buckley, I’ve had it on CD 3 times now…lost with each car sale/house move. Fantastic Indie Pop. There is a US based fan who’s uploaded it to YouTube for when I want to hear it.

I think 2 silver would be a bit much. -
probably about 2001… I found some tapes of extended jamming when mum and dad sold the family home a good few years ago. Just. Shit. All of it. No amazing moments. Just intertwining noodly shite. Drugs nor drink make me play better. i don’t go past 2 pints if anything when playing now - nothing if im driving.

An album called “The Chancer” by a band called Nash. An album called “Tetra Splendour” by a band of the same name. both early 2000’s

Bloody local bass players with their “haven’t played it for years” sales patter…

Point taken - he’s definitely had his name on a few bits though…as someone else mentioned he’s definitely helped sell a lot of gear. I wish him (and any others) well on it - any musician making money is doing better than me - I think my distrokid earnings are at about £30 this year…
-
Oh good lord…that’s not ok.

Flubbin eck. Thats a bit of gorgeousness right there.

When I worked in a shop (A LONG LONG TIME AGO) We’d easily upsell from Squier at £179 (Standard Strat) to a £329 Mexican Standard Strat - particularly white/maple… The country of Manufacture hierarchy wasn’t a consideration for those customers - it was the “Fender” bit. That’s the target audience…not us. It was the same reason we had a wall of American G&L s500’s, Legacy’s and Comanche’s which we could not sell - Selling 30 American standard strats to 1 US G&L ”I know this one is better, I prefer it, but I told my band I was buying a Fender Strat…” Brand power. I also presume there are considerations now Mr Anti-Mexico is back at the helm… I bet their manufacturing to wholesale margins are much more profitable using Indonesia too…

The Koa series too. There was an Esquire GT And some set neck showmasters and a HH tele. In the same press release there was a set neck precision listed but it never materialised; I have seen one. Probably a prototype or something.
