  1. Looks to be on the way to Essex...now then. A Precision...
  2. There was a load of add on’s available last week - I downloaded a load of decent drum loops. Shouldve done the bass pack too - think I use a drum “dry room” sound for rough demos. If I’m doing anything I want to share to a wider audience I DI from my amp.
  3. Good old Bigthumb! I bought a bass and he packed it like a champ, it arrived before I thought it would. Absolutely brilliant- obviously, by the bottom of page 2, you‘ve read lots of similar stuff - and happy to be the start of page 3 👍🏼
  4. Made an absolute error of spending. these are currently on the way to me (now here ready to post) and I need to wind my neck in. but rather than making a deal and backing out - ill just pass on the same great deal I got. £150 posted in the UK. £145 if you can collect from me in Manchester/M27 No plate included with the East Pre. The pickup wires just screw into the terminals on the pre - so literally chuck it into your bass and off you go.
  5. Ok ok ok... Made a huge error of spending. This arrives with me in the next day or so, but rather than back out of a deal when I know sellers need to offload - I’ve just made a decision to get real and pass on a good deal. The Farida basses have a big place in my heart. I played a big part in some of the fuss surrounding these basses in about 2010/11, and ended up with two “custom” versions I’ve used for 9/10 years. I also released into the wild a Hybrid FJB-6 fretless in white with Duncan 1/4lb pickups. The Farida factory makes for lots of major brands - notably the same factory who made the squier Classic vibes everyone went bathsh!t crazy over and the Fender Modern Players everyone praised for being lovely basses. They punch well above their price. And I’m annoyed I can’t keep this one. Super slim and lovely neck, 21 frets...the necks are brilliant on these. I only have one picture to hand from the bass chatter I bought it from - I will add more as I get it. It will receive polished frets and oiled fingerboard and then a setup - if needed. I’d planned to make a Musicman in a jazz type bass - but got too giddy and spent more than I should’ve done. Price includes shipping in UK, can be reduced if you’re willing to collect from my path (observing social distancing) in Manchester/M27. Thanks - Andy
  6. 610, in the same tolex. Black or red grille cloth with white piping.
  7. There is no fear - just grey mottled tolex 🤤
  8. It was one of two made for NM. He has one. And I’ve just helped the other one find a new home with our resident Foo.
  9. Hmm. If anyone knows of an ash/maple HPJ for sale - or the sunburst one which was for sale on here a couple of years ago...think @mingsta has it.
  10. I always find that sales technique works for me...
  11. Wal for my 40th, Jenny already has the money put away. Order goes in in 2 years time x
  12. Yeah. Yeah. So did I when I paid for the pickguard...what a dummy.
  13. Ah oooh eeeeeh. Woooo. @Al Krow’s credit card is already on fire.
  14. My mate Rog has found a White pearl guard for me... he’s sending it for nowt. (not really, he’s charged $50 plus shipping...but whatever)
  15. We’ve discussed this before. Natural and rosewood on J Basses is a no. And it’s a size thing...I like the wood throbbing in my hands to be girthier as you well know. Anyhow, I know you love a good sunburst...
  16. Don’t worry - imagine actually being me. It’s a futile existence. I actually don’t enjoy my processes at all - some people are so hard to understand, they barely understand themselves.
  17. Placebo’s first 2 albums. Theres a song called “Hang On To Your IQ” and that’s a great bass tone - Jazz Bass played with a pick into an Ampeg. Not my playing style at all - but great. Maybe - upon review...a very mild chorus effect too.
  18. Looks like black over white they rather than a roughed up sunburst. @andytoad hope you find it mate - nice that.
