    Haha. My playing wouldn’t suffer if I lost all my fingers in a terrible woodworking accident. The Bass was fine. weirdly held into the neck with a nail. Classy.

    I took the pickguard off my violin bass - as it read “The Cavern” If there’s no electronics mounted to it. Go for it. Shove it in a ziplock bag and shove in a draw, or case. The lad who I sold the violin to kept it as it was and still has the pickguard in the case where I left it.

    Ah wow. Just brilliant. I had a fretted SB-40eq in sunburst and it was such a great bass. I was actually made an offer from a guy who curates a Washburn guitars museum/exhibit somewhere in the USA. And it was a lot more than £350, so I sold it to him. I’d love to have this, but really cannot at the moment. Chris is an absolute gent, so whomever ends up this will be pleased as punch.

    Had a lovely trade offer today - but I should add I don’t play 5’s/6’s, I have a fretless (gathering dust again) and I have tried and ended up not enjoying short scales. Bump

    They did an advert in ‘bassist’ magazine For these which was a colourful whole page affair. I thought these were the absolute pinnacle of bass guitar design, lovely looking basses. I had the ad stuck on one of my school work books.

    I’ve been talking with this guy for a month, I really like him. The other guys (think there are 5 others) 2 have said they’ll send something over by the weekend. I think this guy just has his recording gear set up to go, I know I struggle at times so will give the others an opportunity. Plus - once we’re all in a room, it could fall apart.
