  1. Before I start down a path of despair - googling really isn’t giving much of a definitive answer… I use an iPad and GarageBand for my demos. We use a zoom h4n to capture rehearsals, which is fab for that “capturing”. But we recently did a fairly ok band recording track by track which was alright but I did start wondering… in a box at the rehearsal room is a Behringer Uphoria 1820 interface…sat “spare” a) anyone got a quick “yeah I’ve done it” for multitracking simultaneously with GarageBand b) does anyone know if I can hook the umc1820 into an iPad (it has its own psu rather than bus powered) - I think I’d need a USB B to USB C cable to get it into the iPad. or am I just totally off the mark and need to give up… Would be nice to do some live recordings where we can mess with levels after - even just for rough demos so we can add/edit before heading into the real studio Cheers Andy x
  2. Yeah, a previous band was called The602 as we rehearsed next to the M602 (Liverpool to Manchester) Not a huge fan of current band name, but it was in place before i joined… I think the shoe has to fit… “Slain Lambs Carcass” isn’t going to cut it if you’re a Latin Funk outfit etc
  3. Really enjoyed these. @Leonard Smallsentry made me chuckle. Wish I’d had my gear…I planned a cover of the Terminator main theme 😂
  4. My specialty 😏

  6. Im Biased… As others mentioned though, the neck (while not massive…) isn’t skinny. Guild Starfire 2, they’re meant to have skinny necks - look ace in emerald green too…
  7. Not yet. Got a really busy 2025 house wise so I might have to hang fire… I do really want one.
  8. In my head, it’d be horrifically difficult. Jokes aside, in reality, I suppose it would be… I do a lot of the writing, I play Bass, Baritone and acoustic…I do a lot of the social media stuff. I dunno, their direction/sound would change a fair bit.
  9. I’m not going to get anything done… I’ve left my interface at the band room… have a great Christmas xxx
  10. well…as predicted, massively rushed… But we had fun
  11. We’re doing drums and vocals, and a video at 10am today… we have 3 hours as the drummer is going on a Christmas Holiday and it’s my mums 66th birthday today 🤣 Probably should’ve had this done by now. ah well.
  12. My ripper came with a hipshot. I put the original back on after about a day. Just looked wrong.
  13. Ordered the Grover tuners today. Then it’s done. opened an envelope from my in laws today which had £50 in it, Thomann have the 142c’s in for £61 so just got them paid for
  14. Babicz arrived and was fitted. Lovely these bridges.
  15. That’s a belting price… looks lovely too - Ive got 2 more jazz basses than i actually use. And im skint.
  16. Yeah - I said I wanted it to feel like market square Christmas brass band - it definitely captures that. Its also got a bit a Pogues FTONY vibe Just sorted the lyrics.
  17. We are a bit late to the party… But did the first takes today.
  18. I wuz only joking…sell it 😏 Nah, you’ll love this thing with a bit more hugs and kisses - it’ll be perfect
  19. Oooohhhh it’s a biggun…
  20. I’ve fixed the old one! used a brand new memory card and got some contact cleaner under the switches… Basically good as new! well, I need to get some superglue into the casing crack…but that’s easily done
  21. If I can find an “as new” h4n I’ll be pushing for that - I still can’t understand why what look like the same mic capsules cannot cope with the same SPL. We rehearse in our own space with settings marked at the same volumes - Drummer uses a Roland TD50kv for rehearsal to keep volume down… But it’s almost like it tries to record at near peak input sensitivity and then tries to backtrack with internal software - which isn’t up to the job. would love to get the old one fixed…but it’s properly had its day.
