  6. I’ve got a feeling Iris’ real dad is just chucking money at the situation… What do you look like Rob from Basschat, and what were you doing in Salford in September 2017?!
  7. I’ve just text Jen as she’s taking the lad out… I can’t actually post her response - the swear filter would break. we’ll go with “that’s golly mad, golly gosh…wowza, that’s golly unbelievable”
  8. Oh my god. just. A real WTF moment. Rob from Basschat - send me a message please xxx
  9. They didn’t get the iterations of the Grabbers or rippers right in that 2009-2011 run. The Ripper was natural with a rosewood board…the headstock was more “square” The Grabber had the slider pickup, but it was a chrome guitar style pickup…it was a set neck, not bolt on. This G3 didn’t have the right pickups or pickup spacing and wasn’t bolt on either. I recall sending 2 of the 3 G3 reissues back as the break angle from the nut made the G string ping out if played harder than a mild breeze… They were a big swing - to be admired, but a massive miss - to be lamented. They did something similar with the RD a few years later. They probably made about 6 of them…😏
  10. Shes been on a spree - must have at list 2 rippers worth of Chuppa Chups

  18. Eye see what you did there…
  19. I think something has been in my eye(s) since @Clarky started this entire thing.
  20. Probably the best cab I’ve ever owned. Annoying that I sold it as I was “quitting” and then joined an amazing band 3 months later 🙄
  21. I had a very early 1000 and an 81/82 700. to me the 700 sounded like the best bits of the 1000. the similar set neck models seem to crop up a bit cheaper… what a sound though. Great basses - weighty. Aria have just started touting reissues online https://www.musicstreet.co.uk/products/aria-sb-700-bass-guitar-oak £1100+ though - not cheap
  22. We play the same 2 songs for the start of the set and always finish on the same… We change the middle around, and with some new tunes just getting finished up - we’ll be doing it again. Thats originals though - when I was in a covers band, we had a steady running order; it got to a point I could do it in my sleep (or inebriated) - auto pilot was cool for a bit…but then I got REALLY BORED.
  23. Yeah - thank you for this, much appreciated x
