Just done a quick ebay trawl... gotoh strat buttons - the bass had come with Schaller strap locks and I can’t stand strap locks. Fender felt washers for strap buttons - I had a pack of these, must’ve run out or lost them. Will definitely find them next week. New Fender pickguard screws - just want everything equally shiny.

Well I’ve ended up with Nordstrand 70’s voiced now. I like the stock sound, but I’ve got a feeling this blue miller and the blue sadowsky will be the “go to” basses - so wanted the same pre. @Normski told me he’d been gigging a miller with aguilars. It seems to be a popular mod.

Yeah, it was 7.85lbs, and then when I took the badass off for a vintage fender and took the Duncan 1/4lbs for Aguilar it was about 7.5lbs. Still regret it not Being mine. I took delivery of 6 fender American deluxe jazz basses in 2010 when they changed to block/bound etc. Lightest was 8.2lbs, heaviest was 10.5lbs. most sat around 9.5/10lbs. Some Ash, some Alder. It was literally luck of the draw.

Haha. My playing wouldn’t suffer if I lost all my fingers in a terrible woodworking accident. The Bass was fine. weirdly held into the neck with a nail. Classy.
