I took the pickguard off my violin bass - as it read “The Cavern” If there’s no electronics mounted to it. Go for it. Shove it in a ziplock bag and shove in a draw, or case. The lad who I sold the violin to kept it as it was and still has the pickguard in the case where I left it.

I was wrong on this one.

Not for me that. Everything barring the facings is perfect.

They did an advert in ‘bassist’ magazine For these which was a colourful whole page affair. I thought these were the absolute pinnacle of bass guitar design, lovely looking basses. I had the ad stuck on one of my school work books.

I’ve been talking with this guy for a month, I really like him. The other guys (think there are 5 others) 2 have said they’ll send something over by the weekend. I think this guy just has his recording gear set up to go, I know I struggle at times so will give the others an opportunity. Plus - once we’re all in a room, it could fall apart.

Yeah - I made it a bit awkward to see what the guys and gals would do with it. he did a great job

I had a dirnt. It was brilliant. Sold it to @karlfer and I should’ve kept it. Think if I see a non relic sunburst one again for a good price, I’ll have it.

Still makes me chuckle - why not recalibrate for an afternoon and get it bang on - instead of manufacturing/obtaining extra screws...
