  1. You’re welcome, takes a bit of trial and error with the sonic port - I have one which is so old and battered. The Apogee has a gain/volume in line so you can gauge it better. But - once you get the hang of it all, great fun to be had. Particularly with Garage Band.
  2. Bought This for my 70’s P. That’s now gone. Wanted to keep it for a future project...but something has landed in my lap and I want a refin done. I bought this from a lovely gent on here - he bought a 1966 precision with this on. He stands by the fact it’s a 1966 guard. It has an extra pot hole in it as the 66 was covered to P/J At some point in its life before the chap bought it. I had a feeling it could be a Fullerton 1980’s piece from the hallowed first AVRI run - but I have seen 60’s tort like this. It’s old looking, very 3D and has the wide bevel - look at Spitfire pickguards at about £250 before shipping...and Bravewood do this wide bevel - but only for their builds (and use a darker more modern tort) I bought it as a nice old tort guard - it’s between 38 and 54 years old. No warping. A little divot near the pickup position. £250 - offers invited - plus postage (it’s between two bits of ply) in the UK or collect in Manchester (M27 Postcode)
  3. Bought This for my 70’s P. That’s gone. Wanted to keep it for a future project...but something has landed in my lap and I want a refin done. Relic dark brown tort - looks very similar to USA standard type tort - not the nasty cheap “pizza Pavement” you get off eBay. £35 posted in the UK or collect in Manchester (M27 Postcode)
  4. What I like (love) about MK is the level of skill in other areas which Are completely ignored. And then he throws a filing cabinet down the stairs and makes me feel 12 again - Giddy, silly and excited to play bass. And then people slag him off and I chuckle along...all the meantime wanting to engage in a futile row ending in “yeah, but you’re a numpty so ner!”
  5. I’ve met WP - really lovely bloke. He’s done really well out of it all - and in Poland seems to do some really lovely soul/funk shows... He does love to knock a good shed together though 😂
  6. It’s alright, it’s been denounced by the band as just “alright”. Better than yesterday’s idea I sent them 1 met with “I don’t get it”.
  7. I’ve just recorded a quick idea. I’ve slapped on it. I’m going to say 3 Hail Mary’s... should put things right.
  8. @Saimonbass really loved that album when I was about 16/17. That brought back some memories!
  9. Second time dealing with Mark - he collected a fender from me today. As ever, a lovely deal - great bloke. Enjoy x
  10. When you plug your sonic port into the device and select “video” on phone/iPad And then record - it automatically records whatever you play from the interface... Like this...(signal path - Bass➡️Envelope filter➡️Sonic port➡️Phone)
  11. It would’ve stayed...and it’s only going up the road...i’m going through another of my phases.
  12. That’s a stupid amount of bass for the moneys
  13. Chris is still in his prime - lovely bloke. I’m easily as bad as him or @Clarky when I first joined 10 years ago.
  14. Chicago Music Exchange seem to do USA exclusive runs a lot
  15. Well...somethings come up...so...😉
  16. I’ve been noticeably worse this year. I normally buy and sell about 5 basses a year. I’ve done about 10 so far in 2020
  17. It’s been a bad habit this year - lots of different projects on the go, if I had more space and less kids - I’d keep them all and give @cetera And @kodiakblair a run for their money. I don’t get sentimental or attached to gear - the Orange BB is here until I’m dead. Other than that - not really fussed. The Blue Sadowsky is a doll, and I’ll be keeping that too. But overall...it’s just wood and strings. They’re all lovely. Some people go mad with amps and pedals. I use the same Rig - always happy with that, and pedals wise, I don’t use much but have an ME50B If I need to colour sound - Seems Guy Pratt has dusted his off for the Videos he’s doing... I also have the “twins” which I’ve had for 10/11 years - so some gear does stay.
  18. This is a time limited thing - a bass has come up locally and the guy can’t play fretless so won’t take the trade even though he loves this bass. I actually don’t want to flog it as I’ve been recording with it recently...and only put new strings on it yesterday (elites Detroit Flats). Lovely/Mad 1991 ish Japanese Fretless hollow body precision. Chambered Mahogany body, spruce lid...f hole. Rosewood board. Lace Sensor P pickup. Piezo in bridge. TBX tone control (like a filter mid thing) Plays great. These normally go for about £600-£650 and don’t come up often. This has a few knocks/scratches but not on the neck - just on the body. Includes a Really lovely Warwick Rockbag and some used black nylon tapewounds. If the bass I’m looking at sells...this will be closed down. Shipping is a possibility at about £20 in UK. Collection (observance of social distancing a must) from Manchester (M27 postcode) is fine too.
  19. They could do FSR factory Special Runs of these... I get your point. I’m not saying I’d buy one every 12 months. Id be much happier if they introduced the configure your own USA standard thing they run in the US.
  20. @deepbass5 something like this - will do a better job. Look up iPad/IPhone interfaces and choose to suit your budget/device.
  21. Bought some Strings from Paul. Arrived quickly...as I’m sure I will once the strings are on 🤔
