  1. Listed it on eBay last night. Have delisted it tonight with 60 views and 5 watchers.
  2. Listening back to rehearsals with a P setting. Just such a sound.... the ones with the Modulus sound...dunno. Just like me playing someone else’s bass 😂😂😂
  3. The BB414 covers both. And cost less that 1/5th of the Modulus
  4. Try running slapped triplet runs with a humbucker in the way 😂😉
  5. I like the idea of reclaimed wood or repurposed furniture. ”Upcycle” basses or something. Dad always had scaffolding boards about (he was a steeplejack) - I always wanted a bass using those planks.
  6. “It’s illegal to put barcodes on guitars” an area manager for a guitar shop I worked at.
  7. It’s not to buy anything, I already have a bass that will do what I’m after.
  8. Well, I’m having a think on it. Reality is I’ve got a few grands worth of basses and I’m not playing them much, and with the band I’m thinking a bass I already have (Orange bb) will do the sound I’m after.
  9. Hate how flats feel. I feel regretful bass sales upon the horizon...
  10. I know, unfortunately, the music does a bit anyhow
  11. Sounded better with the Ibanez HSS rather than the HH setup of the Jackson. So...inadvertent win.
  12. Righto... Been using a Yamaha BB714BS, it’s brilliant. But I only use the P pickup, and the humbucker is in the way. Using a Modulus flea makes everything sound like RHCP (in my head). so. I have two awesome basses I’ve chased all over the place and wanted for years. And I’m using a P setting. how infuriating is that?! Doesn't help that it was a crap rehearsal tonight in a god awful room.
  13. Just tried a new rehearsal space. What a waste of time, effort and money. Booked 7.30-10.30, called time at 9.30. He’s still very good though, we made the right choice with the guitarist.
  14. Yeah. I see that now - singer has told me off.
  15. yeah - I can appreciate that. Singer has told me off.
  16. This ok? 🤔
  17. Well, I’ve had this knocking about for demos, it belongs to a mate and he basically gave it me. Theres a plan to change the pickups out, I have a mate who reckons he has a Gibson classic 57 Bridge pickup in a drawer I can have. It feels lovely - must be about 20 years old, made in Korea. An SA160 I think (the first rung up from the Gio range). Can achieve a ridiculously low action, and has enough sounds (possibly more with new guts) for my recording needs. Will also be used by The new guitarist in the band who’s main guitar is a bit too “metal” for us. I’ve just shoved some jazz bass knobs on it...debating making a pickguard for it too.
  18. Head of year at a high school. Currently looking after year 9 (13/14 years old). Hard work, rewarding at times. Used to work in music retail, which was a hoot...but eventually it started to drain the life out of me. Originally intended to be a police officer, never saw it through. Another option was steeplejack - following in Dad and Grandads footsteps, but dad warned me off it at about 16/17.
  19. I have this little tour bus 10 if I need to play along with someone playing acoustic or just a bit more volume than unplugged... It’s a decent enough thing, and it’s tiny. Think they’re pretty cheap too.
  20. Just bought this - going to persuade Big Al that he needs to use this instead of the skulls guitar... Still a “rock” guitar...but deffo not skulls.
