  1. Effffin ell! Wowzers! so sorry to see a fellow bassist with damaged digits… I now know why I borderline refuse to use tools or do DIY other than painting and hanging pictures. Wishing you a speedy recovery mate - hopefully a good result and some rehabilitation work and you’ll be back at it.
  2. Not today… the BEX is on its way to Cornwall - and I sold the other ABG. im sure I could get something together fairly quickly (Mrs T has just had some new suitcases delivered)
  3. Performed admirably at the beeb… But - it’s now done its job. I’m selling everything except the ripper and the orange BB, so it needs a new home.
  4. It covers so much ground; seems to do everything really well - it’s a lot heavier though…so if someone could find an 8lb ripper…I’d be beans chuffed. My 76 was the lightest of 4 @walshy had 😂
  5. Separation of EA/DG So you could theoretically only have effects on treble strings etc.
  6. Tentative feeler this… I cannot shake the desire for a stingray (I know, I’ve had about 7). Other idea is a 70’s style jazz. so. If you want a British made 44 year old Ric/Wal/Precision hybrid thing…here it is. light. Stereo (and mono) enabled. Light (8lbs ish) road worn ish…(it’s in better condition than I am) …light 🤣 I’m a bit torn really as it’s actually been an inspiring bass. But the ripper is winning every time. would rather trade - but…I’m open to ideas. Has a very old and battered case which I can only assume is original. Oh, and it’s all original, cover, no cracked finish etc… postage is an option anyhow….i reserve the right to come to my senses at any given moment.
  7. I always played Telecasters, 72 custom and 72 thin line.
  8. Sorry. Totally zero context. intimate 2 hour set from Marcus Miller and band at Ronnie Scott’s - Mrs T got tickets for my 40th. It was phenomenal really. Only about 15ft away from the man himself as he regaled us with stories and anecdotes and played a blinding set. Started off with Panther, did numerous other favourites - including Run for cover which was unbeatable really. was funny, as we queued up - a small unassuming guy walked towards the entrance with a Tracksuit top and Jeans on, big rucksack…and a pork pie hat… He literally walked in as we were going through the door - very chilled and cool. some moron soup guy grabbed him for a selfie - didn’t seem too happy about that so I didn’t get to say hello…met his keys player afterwards who was a serious player. Anyhow - if you’re ever at Ronnie Scott’s, don’t bother with their food 😂
  9. just been added, officially meant to release Monday…but whatever
  10. Yeah - they self disassemble, quite the quirk 🤦🏻‍♂️
  11. Yep, so on the soundcloud clip the main body is middle settings, like a gritty sound… the bigger sounds/more gain are the top and bottom switch settings. gets into that spiky synth level in a lovely way…it’s a great sounding thing - but I get close with 2 pedals together and can switch them in and out and use their individual sounds for different tracks
  12. Might actually need this to stay until 21/07 - typically, been asked to do an acoustic set on a BBC Manchester show 🤦🏻‍♂️
  13. How do. Got this a while ago, been working on 3 stages of OD, but have settled on 2. Really beautiful thing. Kerry Lambert (Zero Fret) makes this in various small batches - this is a few years old as he’s now branched out into fancy graphics etc. https://on.soundcloud.com/3BWdByvCinK2xXxc7 That’s what it sounds like…various settings used. Collect is fine, postage will be £5 or so.
  14. Sales. ”look Ted, these basses - we’re selling hundreds…I can’t keep up!!!” ”I’ve got an idea Mike…STEPS. Make the headstock like some hamster steps…you’ll sell f*ck all and the internet will mock you for years…” ”thanks Ted, you’re ace at really stupid ideas…” ”I know”
  15. Did we do this nonsense yet?
  16. You buy it - rip the frets out…you’d be such an idiot not to 😉
  17. I know…I know… I just…don’t use my 3 fretless bass enough without doing another
  18. These have been booked for 2/3 months for August/September. I suspect bigger festivals are 6-10 months ahead.
  19. Well we went down the route of “exposure” - but all covered travel expenses when we asked. Not earning, but not losing money. The latest one though I said we need £400 as they were late booking us and they’ve gone for it. I do recall playing a bigger festival in 2008 and getting £650 and tickets/travel but once we actually looked at it we lost £100’s as a van full of gear from Manchester to IOW was a dear do - We did play to a few thousand and traffic to websites etc went up for a bit. died off quickly enough as various band members had issues at that time. Cant believe I stayed on for another 3 years
  20. We’ve ended up on 3 smaller local festivals this summer. We sent off some demos and to be fair 5 got back to us - 2 ended up being when various members of the band are on holiday. Havent played a festival since 2008 so after a hiatus; I’m looking forward to it.
  21. Yeah - sonically it does a great Jack Casady/Woody P. The 3 band Eq is ace - I just wish I had the balls to defret it, but I have that sound covered without devaluation of a lovely bass. Lovely thing.
  22. Will entertain offers - just bought bubble wrap and have shipping boxes etc.
