  1. So does that silver to black burst. meant to be nice instruments. Boon Gould used one of the strat type Heartfeld guitars and can be seen on live at Wembley dvd
  2. Nice these, tempting but with no time for bass at the moment...and two guitars sat unplayed, seems daft to be tempted.
  3. I know. It’s just how it goes...
  4. I’m always right...Pickguards, Yamaha and now...multi fx
  5. I’ll put multi hand up for the boss me-50b. Does what I want and I’m on my second so...
  6. Just put the new schaller BMF’s on. not happy with the pickup screws I’ve bought to replace the other ones I wasn’t happy with. but, the headstock chips are disappearing.
  7. Yeah mine is the old “mini” - the micro wasn’t as nice to my ears.
  8. Now surplus to requirements as I’ve taken delivery of a multi fx which does a fair enough rendition of the same sound (for the 40 seconds of a song I bought it for). absolutely classic sound though - if I used more fx I’d keep it, but really can’t justify it. wooden box intact and included... £5 shipping in UK
  9. I think the Q-Tron does it better, but it’s for 16 bars in one song. Not sure I need a dedicated unit.
  10. Just used an ME-50B at rehearsal, absolutely dandy thing - first time in ages I’ve used one. The Q-Tron looked on in disgust but after a factory reset and level set...absolutely fine; might have a few bits up for sale. I’m not mad on effects so this will do me just fine.
  11. I live in that there Salford but won’t be heading down south until February for a wedding.
  12. I’ve got a bass I’m sorting to sell But maybe keep. Couldn’t find a single machine head without buying from the US. The originals are 70’s style unbranded Fender ones with the same footprint as the Schaller BMF I’ve bought. They’re from an 80’s power jazz special (MIJ) ine was replaced with what looks to be a drop tuner but the schaller version. The lever has gone walkies. you could drill the rivets out and have a full set. one of the ferrules is silver - no idea why, other than it’s non original. I’ll probably eBay them at £10 apiece. but thought I’d chuck them on here first. andy
  13. Certainly looks the part - no “worse” looking than some of the budget spectors. looks like it’s based on the p-nut model? I’d say if it sounds good - you’re into a winner!
  14. Used the Salford Quays one last week. It’s not the one for me at all. Found it a bit odd.
  15. Bought some pedals off Andy. What a gent. arrived quickly and well packed. thanks Andy
  16. “John was, for most of his professional career, a Fender Precision bassist. He was given a 1965 sunburst model by the record company in 1972, and by late 1974 he had another one, which was made in 1968. The two basses are almost identical and they sound 99.99% alike. The only slight difference is on their logos: the 1965 model has a grey logo, the 1968 model has a black logo. John used both of them interchangeably for most of the 1970s, and then mostly the 1968 model from then on. Those basses underwent several changes on their finish: in summer 1975, John stripped off his 1965 model and left it natural, one year later he did the same with the 1968 model, and by the time the Magic tour began in June 1986 he had his 1968 bass refurbished and painted black.” I copied this from another thread. Forgot I’d posted it...
  17. Bought this and then got another unit with an in built tuner so...it needs to go. boxed up, clean, never velcroed etc. £30. and can post too.
  18. There was a blue burst one of these days n the site at the same time. cant say I wouldn’t be very tempted if it was that one.
  19. Pm re “Black Vintage Style Strap Buttons with two sets of screws £2.00”
