I often debate a Stacked knob set up for mine, but I don’t want to mod it. A CS64. Also has the pleasure of tweaking @sshorepunk’s similar (but not the same) CS64 last week which was also in the realm of “best Jazz I’ve played...”

Well...if he does it enough to make that kind of money 😂 I hope he means he has “feel” or “groove” (🤮) and that he can put the layer in that we’re missing. Although it could be a shallow attempt to get my attention - in which case; it’s worked. -

I’m sure we will - I’m going to keep going until something sticks. A chap has messaged saying he’s like Nile Rogers... give him a shot... -

So. Both guys got the thumbs down. Should’ve called ourselves “Goldilocks”. Apparently we’re back to square one. -
This is making the trousers twitch at the moment too...prefer the mk1 shape though...

Love these too.

I’ve got audio of them playing 3 of the same songs. Haven’t had loads of time to analyse it. Guy 1 (originally a no show, and then late...) is “better” - just plays cleaner, and smarter. Guy 2 - actually a bit all over the show, sounded better in the room and “creative” might not actually mean “better” 😂 not as in the fence as I was - although I’m not sure either are right. -
I always really rated the HA series heads. They could’ve just kept that user interface and look and downsized it using a more modern power stage to reduce weight. The LH’s were uninspiring. From what I remember - although remarkably tidy on the inside. The Kilo made little or no sense (When it arrived) and we had 4 on order for people which never showed and resulted in cancelled or switched orders. If a brand gets landed with a crap distributor - it’s game over.

That’s the one...I have to own this one one day. I’ve had about 6 stingrays, but the Namm one is the one I’ve been chasing.

Thought about 3 designs I like - love partial pickguards on a bass...

I’ve got 4 kids, singer us 3, drummer has 2. I really can empathise with people and their jobs, mine is absolutely amazing in many ways and frustrating - some days I debate working stacking shelves. In all honesty, I want to hear the recordings back from tonight and see what’s what before messaging the first guy to say “thanks, but no”. The drummer and Singer want to invite Second guitarist from tonight back next week. I’m on the fence. -

I suppose it should, yeah. Didn’t think at the time. -
Mine was desert gold too - like a metallic orange 😂

I had one for about 5 years. Sound wise, I’ve never found another bass like it - I wish I still had one solely for that. At the time though I was recording a lot - ended up seated with it a lot and I got it in my head that the bottom horn was an uncomfortable design flaw...(I know there are some would say that was the least of its aesthetic problems). ultimately it was sold in haste. Now I’d love that set of sounds back. Think I only got something pathetic like £700 for it...

So. Original Guy who was a no show... Arrived at 8.20pm (planned meet time was 8pm). But, really nice guy - set up, played the songs he’d learned from the EP pretty well, added some of his own style. Had to keep telling him to turn up a bit. We worked around a chord sequence with no direction other than the root notes. Seemed to give a few ideas. Second Guy arrived on time, wasn’t what I was expecting from the messages. Seems to have good ideas, had learned two songs also. just overplayed a bit...maybe a nerves thing? Still none the wiser. Waiting to hear from the drummer and singer as we didn’t get chance to talk much as we overran. -
It’s battered 😟

Yeah...that’s why I struggle - short arms/bad back. although...I adore the Ripper.

Aha, well yes...I’m led to believe Aja speaks highly of all those naysayers... I got the news that this thread is Home at last... -

Bob Dylan and Lou Reed for me. If we’re saying bands/artists other people love but I don’t get... -
I keep on thinking that a Precision/Ray/BB/Sabre would be good...
-
I’ve always loved the SB-55 (mid 70’s Yamaha) I even like the meat cleaver of a headstock. I suppose this could be perceived as a take on a fender design...so I might need a slap.

They’ll get the doubters, one by one - even if it takes everlong...and eventually you’ll be telling everyone “Dave Grohl - he’s my hero”
