  1. Wew! Hmm. Yumm. 32” scale. Sort of pseudo R styling... I like.
  2. I often find tonetech luthier supplies and touchstone tonewoods have cheap deals on machine heads. Depends how fussy you are.
  3. Yeah I love the blue burst but the headstock is fugly with that body.
  4. https://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/jaydee-supernatural-bass-guitar-with-gig-bag-vintage-rare-headstock-pre-owned.html Never seen one like that before...
  5. Get some gotoh tuners or schallers or something, will cost £40/£50 if you can find some used ones but you’ll never have to bother again.
  6. They’re usually pretty dandy as they are. But you know your own ears.
  7. Unless you’re swinging the bass around, or you’re Lou Ferrigno, I wouldn’t worry.
  8. I had one which arrived damaged and I got a partial refund and sold it here as a project. it was bloody lovely and I was gutted. best bit about the 200 was the p shaped pickups rather than the odd Yamaha sizes. a very nice little P bass without the big fender price tag.
  9. Another #knobhack if you don’t like the idea of cutlery near your bass is to swipe a cloth underneath the controls and wrap them around and pull up. either work fine. for plastic bb or Les Paul plastic knobs the cloth method is a sure fire way not to chip the plastic edges which can be fragile if you’re not a regular knob puller...
  10. Yeah. Apparently so. the 2 main differences were the A.R.E (I think) wood ageing and country of manufacture.
  11. Careful with that...
  12. A fork. Or a butter knife side on wrap some tissue over the prongs/blade. Turn the knobs as you apply pressure to lift them. once they’re up a bit...you can lift them off using your fingers.
  13. “Good afternoon Mr Travis Thank you for your enquiry. The total price for the pick guard including vat, UK packing and carriage would be £29.39. If you wish to go ahead please could you call 01603 489421when the order will be created and the payment taken. Unfortunately the part is currently in production in Japan, and there could be a wait time of 6-8 weeks if part is ordered.”
  14. Ah. Miss that bass...badly.
  15. Either way @SpectorStu you can buy them via Yamaha or BTN music. Only in black and they’re about £30. @TimAl also has a template to make any colour you like in gloss acrylic (without bevels) Another option is to use the existing scratch plate as a template for @Sims to make you one - and their work is obviously top notch.
  16. Is it the caramel one?
  17. They don’t do black. Fuming
  18. They’re funny looking though 😂
  19. This looks lovely in red - no offence to the man in question (Shavo) but I would want it without his name across the front. Am I right in thinking @Ashdown Engineering that this is very similar to the HOD but without the extra speaker outs?
  20. I wonder if they’ll price them at a premium and then keep omega as a “budget” version... I want a black BAII but keep on thinking I’ll just get an omega and live with it.
  21. Apparently they’re doing the ‘1’ again as seen on the old BC Rich and Spector basses. Obviously the II will be the big seller.
  22. Ah right yeah - he’s just announced some dates of his own. Not seen him for a bit.
  23. It’s the brand, the company “Leo Quann Inc.” so they will make Badass Bridges instead of the Omega...or maybe both. its like me making strat copies For a bit then buying fender...And making fender strats instead.
  24. Not old news, well, the announcement isn’t anyhow...they’ve bought the remaining stock and all the tooling etc as well as the branding rights etc.
