  1. Weird as it will sound. Nicky Wire of the manics. Loved them around the time of everything must go. And his playing was so simple I could play along easily. Then I saw Stefan Olsdal from Placebo. And the. I realised bass players were so cool. After that. I got into RHCP and Flea made me want to take the lead 😂
  2. Get it bought before I do something stupid
  3. Haven’t got indigo flip flop funds
  4. A fender drop in replacement, in that grey/black chrome as seen on aerodyne fenders. not immaculate but not bad. ive sorted a Black black one. comes with screws. £2.50 postage in UK.
  5. Paintjob discussion time
  6. Wasn’t the outgoing sunburst version about £1200 anyhow? £1169 rings a bell. edit £1200-£1350 when googled
  7. Haha. No problem. Im in the annoying position of hang available funds. but 4 kids who think Santa delivers gifts for free.
  8. Balls. I had the fretless version of this and swore I’d buy a fretted one. dont suppose you’re into Duff McKagan are you? that’s lovely.
  9. I like that. Miss my corvette.
  10. Yup. That’s beeeeerutiful!
  11. They’re not. good.
  12. If they’re doing that colour...I’d be more interested
  13. It’s anodised like green. And it’s called the Ashdown Grinch.
  14. I actually know very little, but I made enquiries about the HOD/Shavo with a different paint job. And got the same answer @Ashdown Engineering posted up there... Knowing my powers of perception they’re probably still throwing darts at a picture of me on the office door for not realising I’d muted my amp and thought it was faulty 😂🥳
  15. Absolutely. Sucks balls that
  16. Wew! Hmm. Yumm. 32” scale. Sort of pseudo R styling... I like.
  17. I often find tonetech luthier supplies and touchstone tonewoods have cheap deals on machine heads. Depends how fussy you are.
  18. Yeah I love the blue burst but the headstock is fugly with that body.
  19. https://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/jaydee-supernatural-bass-guitar-with-gig-bag-vintage-rare-headstock-pre-owned.html Never seen one like that before...
  20. Get some gotoh tuners or schallers or something, will cost £40/£50 if you can find some used ones but you’ll never have to bother again.
  21. They’re usually pretty dandy as they are. But you know your own ears.
  22. Unless you’re swinging the bass around, or you’re Lou Ferrigno, I wouldn’t worry.
  23. I had one which arrived damaged and I got a partial refund and sold it here as a project. it was bloody lovely and I was gutted. best bit about the 200 was the p shaped pickups rather than the odd Yamaha sizes. a very nice little P bass without the big fender price tag.
  24. Another #knobhack if you don’t like the idea of cutlery near your bass is to swipe a cloth underneath the controls and wrap them around and pull up. either work fine. for plastic bb or Les Paul plastic knobs the cloth method is a sure fire way not to chip the plastic edges which can be fragile if you’re not a regular knob puller...
