  1. I’ve owned loads of 5’s, just don’t need one at the minute. Thought I’d share a very reasonably priced 425 in case anyone was looking. theres a 424 in the same finish starting at £125 but that’s got a bit of a prang on it. But I keep looking at it thinking “I’ve repaired worse than that” - but it’s collect only... edit - @Reggaebass that’s the one. About 5 pictures in, theres a big ding.
  2. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F273833215333 nice. There’s also a red 424 I keep on looking at...
  3. Having a wobble on this. It looks lovely on my wall... but I think I need a couple of pedals and another 424/414
  4. It was my grandads...it’s about 40 years old 😉
  5. Eating a very late dinner and I’ll get me ruler out, and shipping could happen. You got a nice bb 414 spare? 😉
  6. Haha, I think the brown bit is some of the grain, but while the repair isn’t invisible - it is smooth and solid.
  7. Have heard the Ernie ball cobalt flats are nice, @lee650 uses them
  8. I previously had this listed this for what I paid, but if I can get £350, I’m happy. If you need it shipping, it’ll be £20 in the UK. it’s not perfect, but it is ace - and is now wearing a brand new set of BS rotosound strings which aren’t for me but I can see what the fuss is about. Manchester M27 if you want to see it... but the pics show it warts and all. A unique (ish) bass, I’ve had my fun - it’s your town. has various rings and songs - but looks brilliant for 25 ish years old. There is an older repair at the Headstock which is smooth and solid - doesn’t affect the bass at all but needs a mention. had a guy offer a trade who then disappeared, so...back up for sale/trade.
  9. You still won’t like it in a while 😂😉
  10. @TheGreek business venture for us. I’ll drink em, you market them as “the original washer strap lock” easy.
  11. Use them on all of mine except one - only because it shipped with schaller ones which I’ll be taking off. i used to use Dunlop’s but they stick out a lot
  12. Will the original screws not fit into those buttons? Still keep the locking mechanism but use the epiphone screws? or, use some grolsch beer bottle washers and don’t bother with the screw in type.
  13. No, she’s a regular visitor to hospital. 😉
  14. Sounds brilliant. Just need to take a bit of relief out of the neck, the action is fairly normal, but I want it a bit lower. Think the attitude is at risk 😧
  15. This is so tempting. Cannot believe it’s still here.
  16. Well I won’t get the chance to do much with it tonight. Iris is restless/fed up so it’ll have to wait as the sound of a bass isn’t what she wants...I can just tell.
  17. Just setup and a few details. spent all last night at A&E with Iris so not had time and I’m very, very tired (3 hours sleep in 36, so maybe I should go to bed)
