  1. My new stage name
  2. Didn’t seem too much to me, but then I owned a guild b30 for a while 😂
  3. Still #1
  4. Well, in a former life I was a guitarist/singer (always been a bass player) and I still enjoy a bit of noodling on a guitar. I also used to switch between bass and and acoustic tuned B-B (I had a lovely J-45 for this) but as I’ve downsized etc, I’ve sold all my 6 strings. Went to PMT today to get a new multi-stand. and tried this wonderful beast. just sounded lovely - I played a Taylor iteration about 6 years ago and thought “jeez I wish there was a nice £500 version of this”. And here it is. Debating 9m interest free, or shoving it on the recently cleared CC. definitely got itchy palms as I drove home.
  5. There’s a nice orange 414 on eBay at the moment - very cheap https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F264431054772
  6. Got to find me a blue/green one...GAK sold one recently (so it seems) wonder if it’s on here somewhere.
  7. Haha, I’ve probably played this at some point as the prototypes were shown to dealers well before they were announced. I held off as there was a promise of a limited run of bb3000’s which I never saw - although they did exist. very lovely
  8. Well, had a 20 minute play through my amp between decorating stints. very nice. Happy.
  9. £250 in Manchester when I did the pub covers thing a few years ago
  10. Think this was referred to as the “dead on 58” longhorn by Danelectro.
  11. It’s got one prang on it
  12. Ordered some amber reflector knobs in anticipation of this arriving (hate the strat knobs...) looks loads better
  13. Martin did me a huge favour and collected a bass local to him I’d bought on eBay. He then packed it for collection better than I’d pack my own kids for shipping. Absolutely heroic. A great man.
  14. Fancied one of these for years, should’ve bought the Gibson reissue when I had the chance. This is a bit of an experiment to see if I get on with the shape. from 1995, Korean build. Very lovely - a bit bonkers with its reverse headstock. want to try on a strap, but it plays great after a tweak.
  15. Pretty quick - that’s for sure! for reference - the pictures of the pink one look quite red on here - it definitely is a metallic pink.
  16. Replied Black - Sold.
  17. Lovely - @CameronJ time to think pink 😉
  18. They’re ace. Unfortunately the house move has cleared me out so if I want new bits, something’s gotta give
  19. Totally unsure on this. A Gibson I’m after has come up and while I’m reluctant to let these go, they were last in and my BB414 does similar and isn’t going anywhere. Pink one is very clean - think 1990/91 plays great but the pots were sticky/crackly and I had a spare EMG P/J kit so plonked them in. Sounds wonderful and plays great. will include original wiring although the pots v/t will want replacing. The EMG’s are with this bass. £275 The Black one is also ridiculously clean for a bass of it’s age. The original pickups are brilliant. it’s also from about 90/91 £225 Both newly restrung with 40-100 nickels. no cases - can post in UK for £15 a piece.
  20. Insane. Regret selling my Sunburst one - silly move by me.
  21. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323880350505 this is lovely if it stays at £250
  22. not quite in the same league, but more my cup of tea - I await my own bird...
  23. Arrrgh! That’s pretty
  24. Have just messaged my guitarist who’s after one of these 👌🏼
  25. *cough* Adam Clayton *cough* (just a joke before that can of worms opens up - I rate AC) Ah. Yes. I thought Mr Sarzo had played in Whitesnake and Ozzy just of the top of my head. More than I’ve done, fair play. Also led to believe he’s a nice bloke.
