  1. And I’m not that fat actually. 13.5 stone which is 3 stone lighter than 2010.
  2. I meant to put ‘career’ in inverted commas. Hahah. I suppose I could still “make it”. The record industry is booming, right...
  3. Nah. It’s all just trying to achieve a dream I was close to 10 years ago. And now I’m nearly 35, married, career and kids... if buying basses meant you’d make it...I’d be the equivalent of Elvis Presley. As it stands I’m a fat Sir Richard Head III who’s owned a lot of basses.
  4. 22 years playing and 1000’s of basses owned...passive works for me. Active...I’m always...looking for something which doesn’t need to be found.
  5. I just don’t get it. There are lots of dark colours. they need a good surf green or metallic orange 😂
  6. Update... we’ve raised about £3200 so far. Iris is doing well, lots and lots (and lots) of appointments. But tonight...
  7. I had a self build p/j with a limelight neck. It was lovely... so, you know...you don’t need it 😉
  8. Yeah that needs to live with me 😳
  9. So have I, that’s why we’ve got 4 kids 😉
  10. Did once. To get married. The lady in question bought it back, hence why I married her...
  11. It certainly does. One of One...8lbs...just...magic.
  12. Yeah. In saying that...it was a journey to get this back
  13. Awful people. looking through my Instagram, apparently I sold this to get a custom shop jazz which I swapped for a Sandberg and a stingray... stupid. See.
  14. I bought a custom shop 55 precision relic, imagine Sting’s #1 bass (actually an exact replica made for a trade show). I’d agonised over commissioning a CS or a Bravewood - it was the most beautiful thing (to me). And I sold it within about 2 months. I don’t know what’s wrong with me really, why I didn’t keep it I can’t recall. I just didn’t give it a chance. Did the same with a Yamaha TRB 5pII. Stupidity is my reason for moving gear, seeking the holy (none existent) grail of bass, like a slightly overweight and uglier Indiana Jones...
  15. Not quite - this is the late 90’s bbg5s or bbn5a or whatever they called it. Its got a smaller body than the traditional BB basses - they’re ok, I had a 4 string in the same finish. Theyre well made and balance well. They’re just a bit bland. But for £150, a very respectable bass.
  16. Yeah, no idea why I like that. Bet it’s not cheap...
  17. Two of these and that head...that’s what I was going on about in the eBay thread. bluddeh ‘ell.
