  1. Would love to compare the 434 to a p34. could end up in a big BB yard sale 🤔
  2. No I use the preamp...but I’ve just bought an NOS Yamaha NE-1 eq. So they can all be active 🤔
  3. I’ve got a few padded levy’s ones. Unfortunately made out of something dead. I’ll look into the other options. Debating the growing number of BB’s and. My now unused Jazz bass...what am I doing with all of these basses...think I need to seek out a BB p34 and have done with it.
  4. Used too - suits my back to wear them higher though as I am prone to issues.
  5. His twitter page says he’s a bass player and the tallest man in the world. he’s got quite the discography too - obviously a very busy guy.
  6. I actually think the bb300 looks quite petite for a “broad bass” but yeah - he’s a big lad
  7. well im 5’10 and 14 stone, so he must be 6’5 at least.
  8. Yup. That’s him. ”RBTX, RTX...” ”and this bb has a six bolt neck which sounds like a neck through but still like a bolt on”
  9. The guy on the only video I’ve seen had a difficult time discussing the basses, he said trbx wrong 3 times and gave really amateur explanations between differences etc. probably the drum guy roped in for video. nothing posted other than that, officially...
  10. They will only be double sided on, it’s to do with my brain being used to fenders with a PG.
  11. Has anyone tried a 434 yet, are they satin necks? Are they as rough feeling as the 234 I tried - felt unfinished rather than satin.
  12. Keep on staring at these...434 in teal.
  13. Just got a battery for my scales... weighed all the bb’s. bb1100s Sunburst 1987 - 8.8lbs bb1100s White 1988 - 9.2lbs bb414 Orange 2000’s - 9.3lbs bb300 Metallic Red 1984 - 9.8lbs bb200 Red 1987 - 7.7lbs the 200 is currently awaiting further instruction from Parcelforce who managed to lose the bass twice and crack the neck in the process.
  14. They wouldn’t be permanently attached
  15. Messing with the idea of partial pickguards...
  16. 2 1100s’ one 1987, one 1988... not had much chance to compare yet, but weekend is nearly here...
  17. I’m not in a position at the moment. Really wish I was! Would suit me down to the ground...
  18. I just think it looks off kilter with one big cutout. Why not 2 like an ultra modern Ampeg Scroll or a nice f-hole?
  19. Do they do it in a 4 string, headed...more like a traditional bb...erm...
