Totally unmodified...well, apart from the pickguard. I had it set flat (as in basically a 414). Then pushed the bass a tiny way over centre for a more chilled track, and then on the funkier/faster track with slap pushed the treble a tiny bit. sounds great on a rough mix etc.

I had it when I wasn’t in a band, and on its own I didn’t enjoy it as much as my jazz - I also had to buy a car at the time so it went to that fund.

I’m not great with hofner. I’ll say 1958-60 and about £800-£1000 probably hugely out. they go between £300 and £600 when a bit roughed up.
