  1. Shame it’ll be about £4000, I’d have one at about £800
  2. Last nights rehearsal
  3. Very brief one tonight - working on a verse for the guitarists new tune - literally the second or third play through while drummer was out on a call. he’s got this lovely little chord sequence but we didn’t know where to take it - I said “I’m thinking something like this” - and sure enough, played a little thing which works perfectly. The Yamaha and Ashdown combo working well!
  4. I’ve been really lucky with JMB, current singer was obtained through there 2 years ago - we had a decent band together but all wanted different things, he and I quit on the same day. Knowing I was busy with family (the biggest reason for me quitting), he’s spent the last year sorting a (quite frankly astonishing) guitarist and a really great drummer - he then said, “ready when you are”. And it’s coming together nicely. Sometimes you have to sift through the shite to get to the good bits.
  5. First time I’ve rehearsed with a BB300 since about 1999 😂
  6. Nice. Currently too skint.
  7. Oh god...
  8. Cor blimey
  9. @lee650has just bought a 1025x means I now need a 1024/2024
  10. Should do - the pog and C9/b9 pedals do
  11. Yeah - me too - in all honesty I’m playing better than ever thanks to the break.
  12. Honestly - this should serve as an inspirational thread. I’m back playing 😉
  13. I’d want to try one, that’s for sure. Not 100% I’d use it much at the moment. a couple of years ago, working in a covers band with two pop singers - it would’ve been a godsend.
  14. Was just about to post the same.
  15. The knobs are a different gold plating to the bridge...and the gold bridge is a different type of gold to the body. It’s like one of those tissue holders you see in taxis on holiday.
  16. God that’s pretty. Does @cetera know there’s a Spector for sale?
  17. That control layout is criminal. The gold hardware on a gold bass and the headstock is godawful. the Richard Bona one is sort of ok - the More I look at it...but it misses the spot a bit (the post above about it being half curvy and half pointy...) they won’t sell many.
  18. I enjoyed it on the whole. Good way to highlight what the bass has done for music. I suppose it was a potted history...not bad.
  19. If I hadn’t just sniped another 1100s
  20. I’d find an original for that
  21. And you need a badass on it too, what is this - amateur hour? hopefully there are some cream Dimarzio’s under that cover - everyone knows they’re the best.
