Well. The Guild acoustic has sold. Not really a great feeling but after an odd day, it’s time to either play more or pack up. The White Jazz and the other two are staying though. Mrs Travis says she’ll divorce me if I sell the White Jazz. So...she’s right, it must stay.

I also thought some of there more recent stuff was ok too - in fact, bollox, I think they’re alright generally. it was when Chris Martin started writing crypto-nonsense on his hand and he got a bit of the Bob Geldofs about him...and dancing like a granny on acid. Thats when it became the time to hate them.

Yeah I like the first 2 albums a lot. Played on the night of the launch of Parachutes at the Night and Day in Manchester...never met any of them or anything, went off and did an acoustic set at the Thirsty Scholar on the same night and got paid in beer.

My mum likes The Carpenters, Joan Armatrading and Helen Reddy...she’s not into nickelback. She has seen Neil Diamond live twice though. He’s pretty Metal.

The era/setting and the soundtrack don’t fit together at all. Makes me feel a bit sick. But I grin and bear it...god bless her. Im on 3rd Daughter who loves Frozen. That film is etched onto my retinas.

This film/soundtrack haunts my dreams. Ella is 9, She’s amazing - but my god does she LOVE this film and associated soundtrack. there are some great bass parts but I have to say that the “too much chocolate will make you sick” analogy works here. we went to see a local production of it and it was all programmed into a Yamaha Tyros or similar...

This is the best looking headless I’ve seen in a long time. Like you say - classy.

My wife spent a day with nickelback and even wrote a song with them when she was at uni. Can’t remember how that came to be, i’ll Ask her. my only retort when she regaled me with this story was “why didn’t you tell them to stop?!” - but I think at the time they were quite the big deal.

Now...Headless Basses often divide opinions. these, to me...are stunning. Very lovely looking things. A mate of mine was looking at used Strandberg guitars and I’ve been ribbing him about it - need to keep my mouth shut really 😂

No contest on that front. His voice makes me want to headbutt a spinning lathe though 😉
