  1. I have a couple other f boxes and can ship…either bass. might be risky 🤷🏻‍♂️
  2. The fretless acoustic situation has become stupid. The non mariachi looking one needs some attention, I bought while leathered because I’m a tit. It needs a bit of attention, looks like it’s had some bits done and not finished. Sounds amazing, but needs a bit of TLC. I’m at a point where I’d love to tackle it. But I haven’t got time or money to throw at another project. It’s wooden backed (mariachi is plastic/bowl) It owes me £150, because I’m a tit. Happy to entertain offers/swaps for a pedal or something. I also still have the Ashdown Pre. So maybe something can be figured out. I think £100 is realistic for what the bass is. It’s old and bonkers, sounds very well - slightly bigger body than the other one. Sounds deeper/louder as a result… Whichever one sells first will close this thread… edit - I’ve made its own thread…for the big dreadnought bass…
  3. I was messing for band T-shirt ideas… I loved this - as a T-shirt rear… with a more serious pocked patch of the actual band logo…
  4. Got a hankering for a black 70’s style jazz. Anyone got a Vintera/Classic 70’s jazz they want to swap?
  5. My last Band - Flying Oceans The Band Before that - The 602 And an Old Band - Biederbeck New Band still to release…
  6. James at the co-op arena in Manchester. Never been a devotee, but love some songs they do “Getting Away With It” is my favourite - they finished on it, so I was made up with that. It has to be said - Jim Glennie is absolutely amazing, what a creative player. So much he did last night; I had no clue was the bass part. Some wonderful fuzz and synth parts. 3 different MM sterlings. Wonderful. Tim Booth is absolutely fabulous too.
  7. Dear Lord. how many of us have totted up how much we’d get for our basses to see if this is even possible I’m in love.
  8. Well…let me tantalise you some more… I have a second option
  9. James on Friday at the CoOp. Last minute ticket offer from the singer in my band.
  10. Rushed from work to rehearsal in Friday evening gridlock. Great rehearsal though - 5 new songs are really coming along now - so we’ll have 12 original tunes to pick from for upcoming gigs. New drummer is phenomenal, really musical - builds his parts and pushes the songs along. hopefully sorting the album soon - An EP with old drummer is just with mastering guy. so it was decent - but Friday after work is not the one.
  11. I’ve re read the question posed… I can’t recall a separate insurer. sorry
  12. I’ve used overland before. Think they insure separately
  13. Off to the eagles at the new Co-Op Arena. Heard good things. Got ace tickets from a mate for my 40th. Taking my Uber cool 15 year old daughter and Mother and Father in Law.
  14. Well…I’ve left them on the spare room bed…
  15. Just admit defeat. Become an idiot like me…
  16. So…like…well… yeah… Think I’ll unlist the basses I’m selling and just admit, I have an issue
  17. I got 6 readings off luggage scales 3 said 3.5kg (7.7lbs) 3 said 3.8kg (8.3lbs) so my guess is 8lbs ish
  18. Just shy of 9lbs. Got some new scales. Out at the minute but will check later
  19. I must admit, I was doing my typical “that’s close enough” rather than nailing the tone…
  20. I always assumed it was a bassballs sort of a light filter with some drive. i used a mooer sweeper for it on some gigs a few years ago…there or thereabouts sound wise.
  21. Yeah. I’m having one
  22. Looks like it’s cracked - unfortunately common with these bridges.
  23. Bought in a rush, actually surplus to requirements as I’m selling the bass I needed it for (have listed as a bundle, so it may go with that…) DI/acoustic Pre. Lively, solid thing. Collection preferred. postage will be a few quid in UK
