  1. Bump - some extra pictures
  2. Wish they did a full scale version of this. I’m clumsy enough on 34” so 30”-32” sounds like a chimpanzee bashing a set of rubber bands. Such a cool looking bass.
  3. Heard this in action in June - what a sound, what a player. Best of luck In Your recovery @lee650 (I know we talk every day, but…)
  4. I’d be hard pressed not to jump on this if the basses sell
  5. Love it. Simple, clean. Ace.
  6. https://on.soundcloud.com/j4R76gfUcNtTVhUi6 it DOES have to be a Christmas track 😂 Actually 3 covers, well 2.5
  7. Hah. I nearly bid 🤪
  8. Feelers everywhere - need an amp setup. Made over the last few months by me - a Squier Classic Vibe body, in overall great condition. There is a small bit of white finish missing on the treble side of the neck pocket - I was going to infill but I’ll leave that to you - doesn’t bother me. I have put solid black pickup covers on - originals will be included. Original fender chrome covers and thumb rest included. I have taken the shell guard off and replaced with a black one made by a pickguard company. The original shell will be included. Neck is a late 1990’s fender Japan 70’s reissue neck. Feels great, plays well. Wearing roto flats. Strat type knobs to fit in with 78/79 look - originals will be included. Nice weight, good balanced bass. Price based upon classic vibes being £400 ish and Japanese reissues being £800 plus. Happy to hear offers though. Collection in Manchester preferred. No case but willing to ship at buyers risk although I will wrap like a bombproof mummy. I can swap flats for rounds.
  9. Just putting feelers out really beautiful bass, basically a reissue BB with a 3 band EQ. sounds and plays great. Gotoh 201 bridge - I can switch to original Yamaha one which I have on another bass. Good weight, 9lbs tort guard - made for me by Earlpilanz. covers all sounds - I have a 414 and seem to set this similarly so I’ll stop being greedy. i can ship, but I have no case. So happy for collection in Manchester - or to have a case delivered etc. can ship without case at buyers risk - although I can wrap it to death etc.
  10. Reidmar/proline 410 euro spector sadowsky HPJ That was everything covered i did enjoy the GK MB800/Vanderklay 212 and Stingray 5 setup. Now I have none of the above. And no amp. what a guy.
  11. I could get on board with that - never made much playing the bloody things, so I could live with being payed not to play them 😫
  12. Goddamn. That’s handsome. Had the fretless version of this a few years ago. Great basses.
  13. Oh wow - no - they left with the bass a long time ago. Apologies
  14. It honestly was at first - but it’s grown on me. Was a good month this! well done to all x
  15. Yeah, this was being discussed at the time - alienates the punters who don’t use them (also, this was 10/11 years ago so they weren’t as commonly used then). we also talked about using on wall iPads with pricing and financing options. we trialled it with some Roland Drums. even bolted to the floor, people nicked them…ah Manchester Piccadilly 😳😂
  16. I left the trade in 2014. The fluctuations in currency, the fact most things are bought on 30-90 day payment terms meant our final “cost” at invoice payment could be vastly different (weirdly, they never seemed to go down…) we’d get 200 lines of price changes every few days - particularly on Yamaha/Fender/Gibson. The website was updated overnight, done by some clever computer. The tickets were either shipped to us from head office or generated by us on publisher or something of the ilk. So there was always a delay - “hey mate, this is £299 on your website but it’s £269 in store” and we’d have to match and take the rollicking. Legally we didn’t “have” to match it - but we usually honoured it. i voted for hand written tickets (for speed) but our head office wouldn’t stand for it. It was a weird business, and everyone got into a race to the bottom - a competition to see who could survive on the thinnest margins. And then there’s the “alleged” price fixing from a few big players…so reps would arrive “£729?! They’re meant to be £849, if you advertise that at £789 like everyone else is doing; you’ll sell them all day long…” meaning “change it to £789” We’d found ourselves at the back of certain order queues etc if we didn’t play ball. Shame. Was an ace job in many ways.
  17. I did a clean/set up on one of these years ago and absolutely LOVED it. Damn. Need to find £800
  18. Oh sorry mate, yeah - 2 rehearsals in. Great group of people - having fun. Not playing my best currently which I need to sort.
  19. Nirvana. Definitely overdid it in the 90’s.
  20. Took the 414 to rehearsal last night. I need to spend some money on a fret dress and full set up, forgot how much I loved its overall sound. plays “ok” but I’ve had it better - noticed a bit of uneven buzz/choke on d string when saddles etc are all set correctly. But it’s very cool, and I’ve had it 7 years or so.
  21. Yeah, seems it.
  22. Just spotted these - seems a “safe” starter; some of their guitars seem fairly smart for not much cash. Maybe something a bit more adventurous might catch my eye. Like the gold - not sure on that pepperoni tort.
