  1. Renegade/Killer B and Growler - all about 1998/1999 ish
  2. Just acoustically louder - more authoritative; translates into the pickup… was ace.
  3. Great realistic price. Love these - had 2 or 3
  4. I had a mate who’s rehearsal room got emptied - lent him a jack casady for a bit. He babied it. But, I also played with a lad who’d borrowed a friends Martin D-15 and treated it so roughly he knocked the back off it. played some gigs with the back Duct taped in place and was shocked when the owner was a tad miffed his £1300 acoustic was goosed. Some people just need to be swerved.
  5. Ah. Thought it was a fretless simulator… I’ve got a fretless so I don’t know why I was getting excited 😆
  6. Absolutely love light metallic jazzes with maple boards - stems from an encounter with an Inca Silver Jazz in Deansgate Music in about 1998. This looks remarkably similar. My wallet is currently about as empty as it was in 1998, however…which is a shame.
  7. Bought and sold mine for similar. Looks nice
  8. Righto… so I’d said the idea of my image was that I was an absolute moron for years until fatherhood - a perpetual child. In my teens I lived, breathed and slept the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. @Beedsteroften reminds me of that when he’s selling something tenuously linked with RHCP, sound or visually (we have a mutual affection for Modulus Flea Basses). Anyhow - I started off with BSSM but loved One Hot Minute…. So - Crap John Frusciante impression, meet Crap Dave Navarro impression. All GarageBand, All Yamaha - what’s new. And possibly a slight grey area sample of Gordon Ramsey… https://on.soundcloud.com/L63w3aopbcbtU8ZX9
  9. I’ve just pulled out of buying a BB on account that I’m doing less playing than ever and I already have 2 gathering dust. Just been warming up for the April composition challenge though - so I’ll stick with what I have. I will say my early bb1100’s was absolutely stonking - this looks to be the same era. great basses
  10. Anyone want a bb1100s cheap? Stoke £350 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1132510267585283/ nothing to do with me
  11. That’s the thing I couldn’t remember the name of last night. Been away from the guitar shops too long 🤭
  12. A bit of a google around suggests a lot of the vintage reissues have been done like this. Hard to get through all the debate and jibber jabber on the topic. A lot of mention that the clear coat is the Nitro?
  13. Think these primal artist ones were made in the same Czech factory Euro Spectors are made in. Was offered a natural Burl 4 a few years ago - hesitated and missed out. I liked them - never seemed to take off upon launch which is a shame.
  14. I’m already set to go. Going up to @lee650’s neck of the woods for a few days but will then get recording.
  15. definitely the Orange BB. No matter how much certain basschatters want me to. The 614 is also lovely. Can’t see that going anywhere. They just feel like home.
  16. Someone could absolutely not make their mind up when designing that thing. I ordered one for a customer once…I didn’t “get it” then, still don’t now. Peavey did something called a Void or something around the same time. Also a pig.
