  1. Oooooft. Piggy bank says no, unfortunately
  2. I’d love one - drooled over the reviews as a younger man. ended up with an SWR rig for a good few years actually
  3. Show Me Your Soul or Soul to Squeeze
  4. Typical. A bass I’ve put multiple wanted ads up for has popped up on saved searches on eBay. And, EVEN MORE typically…”collection only”. It’d be an 8/9 hour round trip to collect. Is anyone in that area who might help? Thanks if possible - currently a “maybe” so no rush… Trav x
  5. Trevor has just bought a posh gigbag from me - absolute hero. no problems here x
  6. Hi sorry - it’s now gone - as has the smith. Speak to @Gardenerben when he gets it.
  7. 1998 “No Leaf Clover” and “Minus Human” - oh and “I Disappear” was pretty cool. But…1991…erm.
  8. Sounds like something of Garage Days Revisited. Without being any good.
  9. Got this for a Ken Smith - I’ve sold the smith and it’s too posh for my other basses. it’s a bit of an older model - but it’s a beauty. Like a nicer Sadowsky porta bag. weighs about as much as a light bass, so shipping would be about £15 in uk. Collection from Manchester welcome.
  10. Bought this on a whim - when I was looking for a new 410. I know - what a guy eh?! In fair condition, sounds nice but doesn’t do what I want. And, I’m knocking big playing on the head for a bit - I can hire stuff if I need it. some corner scuffing, and the top handle is a little worn. Good light cab though can ship, but might be about £25/£30 at a guess. NOW £200 - Need it gone for another Amp…
  11. Beautiful acoustic with preamp and piezo and condenser Microphone Preamp. Laminate rosewood back and sides with a solid spruce top. Looks like a Jumbo, but is more grand auditorium sized. comes with a hiscox case. I bought this to reignite a singer songwriter thing - but the 15 years haven’t been kind to my voice and I can no longer sing like I used to at 21/22 years old. Ive also discovered that my relatively easy life means zero angst for songwriting. Will add some more pics in a bit. Postage is ok, but would prefer collection.
  12. A feeler at this stage - but that’s more than likely a sign. I’m pretty much shutting up shop for a bit. And I have 2 basses I’ll never sell. So I’m going to put this up. Its one of the 1990’s Burners - they’re awesome basses. This is my second. I paid stupid money to get it from Switzerland about 3 months ago. It comes with a Tan Ken Smith Strap. The case it came in was torn etc so just went to the skip (was non original generic case). I have a nice reunion blues semi rigid case I can add in for a bit extra. it has some little marks - near the treble horn, a little mark on the forearm area and a minor scuff near the strap button. But for 29/30 years old - very very clean. light, about 8lbs. skinny neck, low action; clean hifi sounds. active/passive…and that’s it.
  13. Ok. That did what I wanted it to. Energised.
  14. This is knocking about on social media… a proper 4005 reissue may be in the offing. Love this in Autumnglo/Montezuma brown. Doubt it’ll be much under £6k and I don’t have that kind of cash.
  15. Yeah. When the ego doesn’t match the ability…that was the killer for me. Not even ability, as such - just knowing limitations or range. The drummers point was that some specific coaching would improve things. That was taken as a personal dig - and worsened the situation. I’d love to put something out…but I’m not feeling overly optimistic at the moment. Id love to feedback tomorrow and say I’m reenergised.
  16. Ah yeah. Took a while off. Haven’t played much at all recently… Sold a big cab, got a little Epifani. And meeting a singer/guitarist with drummer tomorrow. Drummer has just bought a massive building project in Chester and is chewed up with that - but he wants to carry on and is happy to do that drive to Manchester every week. I’ve taken on a new job…and been converting my garage. So I’ve been a bit busy. See what tomorrow brings. I’m not really bothered either way. The need to do it isn’t there. Which after 25 or so years is a bit of a weird feeling.
