  3. Possibly ocean turquoise? “OTM”
  4. It’s for Charlie Jones (Goldfrapp) who was my original “ooh see through p!” Hero. This also has an acrylic headstock
  5. And… Fender are at it too https://www.instagram.com/reel/ChuondwqKFZ/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  6. Funilly enough…guess what I was doing 10 years ago today
  7. I’d get a Dean rhapsody (£400 used?) and get a rebody…added wings to headstock…reshape… Sat all day at work thinking “yeah, that’s what I’d do…”
  8. I suppose it’s not absolutely correct, but there was a Hamer XT series 12 string which was Korean and latterly Indonesian - I’m led to believe they’re solid instruments but benefit from pickup2pre upgrade. I have a mate with one, unfortunately he will not part with it - I know because I ask him every 2 weeks.
  9. Absolutely - if you could PM me some recommendations that would be ace; I’m just in awe of his solo playing
  10. Pino Palladino - I actively seek out his work Nathan East Leland Sklar Bob Babbitt Tony Levin There are loads. But all of the above make me watch. Steve Lewinson - love his playing Lee Pomeroy I could just list them all, full of admiration - wished I’d pushed harder at my dream of being a session bass player. Managed a couple of low level release things and a bit of TV, but had kids and gave up.
  11. Well. It’s been a while. 1993 Ken Smith Burner Arrived after a lengthy trip from Switzerland 😊 Had one before - really, really lovely.
  12. Just in from work - will get my tape measure out in a bit, hope that’s ok.
  13. Had an enjoyable evening with this. Now…to find something to do with it.
  14. One of these, basically brand new. £42+Postage (£8) on Thomman. so…£40 posted in UK? £30 collected in Manchester? Andy
  15. Came with a recent acquisition, not really my cup of tea. fluffy shoulder strap - in decent nick; shows some wear marks where the adjustment part has been - I suspect it’s 90’s as the bass is. Has strap locks fitted for Dunlop, so will include the Dunlop stuff (pins etc) for another £10. price includes postage.
  16. Haha. Some fancy hotel near Dublin…I shall edit.
  17. When something works for you…it just works. I had about 9 Yamaha BB’s at one point. I’ve still got one, the one that started the obsession. More power to you - winner, they look great and not run of the mill.
  18. No. This belonged to our very own @briansbrewand I didn’t bid due to weight. Lovely job he did on it though
