  1. I’m in. Got something roughed out already. and I’ve got a 40 year old AKG mic sat on a stand 🫣
  2. I sat in the car singing today, forgot I can carry a tune… might be time to dig out one of the dusty old microphones for September also well done @Doctor J
  3. While driving around the Welsh countryside this summer, I shoved an “80’s” playlist on Spotify. The teenagers were listening to their own songs on headphones (depressing really, but I enjoyed the peace)… ABC - High and Dry. Yes, the Radiohead Song. oh wow.
  4. Great basses these.
  5. It’s currently on hold. im off to say 3 Hail Marys. bloody Irish Catholic upbringing 🙄😂
  6. @dub Junkie - might want to delete that off main thread. I have a screenshot now 👍🏼
  7. As long as you dabbed some holy water on it, highly likely. 😊 Apologies… It’s capable for that purpose, and for bigger churches with grander set ups, the DI would work wonderfully. I know my friends church group have a full set up with stage boxes/DI’s - and use smaller amps for self monitoring.
  8. I’m now debating getting the DVD out, can’t wait til 23.40. Love this film.
  9. No I bought this from our fair forum a few months back, think it was nearly new though 👌🏻
  10. Bought this from fleabag a few weeks ago and as much as it’s ace, I’m basically realising I’m retired… £55 posted in UK. or £50 collected from Manchester - Between M602/M60. I’ve used his photo, and it’s been in the box since I got it. Andy
  11. Bought this for a wedding function band I decided not to join. So it’s sat in my mancave unused for about 3 months. Lovely sounding combo, DI out, auxiliary in, headphone socket too. Very light and compact. would work for recording, home use, small jams or stage monitoring. looks the dogs nuts too which is handy. Collection would be best (Manchester near Salford, just between m60/602), although it came with a box when I bought it - my daughter spilled a drink on the box (not amp) so it was a bit goosed. I might be able to source a box from somewhere. I assume it’ll be about £15 in the UK. Andy
  12. God damn that would look good next to my Yamaha…😞
  13. Love the dc shape!
  14. God damn it. That’s lovely.
  15. Cort Action Bass, probably 10/15 years old 👌🏻

  17. It was for sale (with a dodgy neck…) a while ago. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/washburn-usa-xb928-8-string-bass.1585868/
  18. It was volume for me. through an Ashdown Neo 4x8 and a Vanderklay 2x12 (the cabs I owned each time I bought an mk500)
  19. Image I’ve found - this blue burst was used in lots of literature for these basses. not sure many were made 🤷🏻‍♂️
  20. I’ve had 2 mk500’s and just never got what I wanted from them - they didn’t have the push I expected amp wise (especially considering the claimed power). but the Ashdown sound is ace - thing a modern interpretation would be the retroglide 800 - that pushes PLENTY
  21. But…original luthier, $400… get someone good for body finish though…
  22. I’d speak to our very own @Andyjr1515 (or @Jabba_the_gut - or any of our amazing basschat luthiers) to see if they can make you a 1:1 copy of the neck - and add a Washburn decal from Rothko and Frost. if you ever sell, include the original neck so you’re not hoodwinking anyone with the decal? looks a lovely body. very jealous
  23. Oh good lord. would love to do it in that blue of the 928 and have the neck plain maple… wooof!
  24. This one, 928 🤤
