    I know @BigRedX speaks very highly of these. I played an original shergold, but it was fretless… found it more intuitive as a bass player than the fender vi.

    I found the 424/1024 deeper than my 414/614. the 414 and 614 feel like home to me.

    Yamaha BB1600, probably some sort of lake placid blue. Maple board scenario. but - see if there was a way of doubling the bridge pickup to capture MM type sounds. Anyhow. I’ve asked Yamaha when they want to meet to discuss. just awaiting a response 🥴

    EBS Reidmar Head, EBS proline 410…and a Spector. Why I no longer own these 3 items is beyond me. That was the “sound in my head”. At least I can get it back at some point.

    Never had a lesson in my life. Can’t read music. Can’t read tablature. Someone tried to teach me theory once. And I shut down. crap really.

    Borderline exactly the same as my old one (someone added an early 70’s jazz pickup in the bridge position). Loved it. bloody £600 shy currently

    Should fit just fine…might be a tiny bit gappy in the pocket just because the neck taper is a little more severe (64.5mm to 42 Vs 64.5 to 38mm) - but it’s a close as you’ll get. think I paid 300 for a player roasted maple:
