    I play at a level at home where it builds up tougher skin. With not rehearsing or gigging much at the moment, I’m actually playing less and less. But at a recent jam night I got giddy and played way too hard. Ended up with blood blisters on my plucking fingers… Idiot move.

    This is the bridge - before I did the intonation. Slightly narrower spacing than the BBOT.

    I do stuff to basses to suit me… My favourite Mod is the Yamaha Angled Attitude bridge I found for £15 on Marketplace… Took a bit of messing to get on my 414… Still on the lookout for another. I’m also always swapping pickguards or adding them where they weren’t…

    That’s a rare BB 2004 OVS - mainly seen in natural or black, they did do white as well.

    I miss my 2 terribly. Sold then when the last band folded…which is sad as they’d become integral to “my sound”

    Had the same 2 padded Levy’s ones for a while now. Black one is 15 years old and bought the maroon one here about 6 years ago. no idea of the “model” - absolutely ace.
