    Some of those little fills/licks are ace - what I enjoyed was that he basically says “I’ve had no formal Training, I taught myself…” and these guys are asking him what he’s doing on certain bits. Now, SD and the other chap are no slouches - but I love the idea that he’s done all that with graft and “right place right time”. Not a reverse snobbery thing - just made me smile.

    Well. As ever, spent a fortune putting a bass together and realised the “chase” was the buzz and I don’t play nearly enough to need. Also a P. Must be my 20th Precision. I “want” and “Need” and then realise I just need to learn how to play. Body, bridge, pickups, pickguard all MIJ 62 reissue from the 1990s. Has swirl marks and dinks/knocks commensurate with 30 years. Some scratches on back. Neck is MiM 70’s “reissue” precision neck, bound and blocks. Came to me without a nut. Fender Micarta nut bought - seems the binding gave when the original nut was removed; this is glued and set, but you can see about 12mm of disruption in the lacquer. I was going to sand and refinish, but it could end up looking worse. Hipshot Lollipops. Fender pickup cover Big Yamaha Japan strap buttons (proper job). Plays ace, sounds ace - if you like P’s, which…I do and don’t 😂 wearing Ernie Ball slinky’s, will come with spare flats which have life left. Hard case - optional. £25 Will ship if needed. anyhow, it’s here in Manchester. Happy to consider trades.
