youll have to give it a try yourself mate when they come out. i think youll see a lot of the big artists using them in time to come. especially the artists who already use the evoiii 500/900.
-
does anyone here do this? to me it sounds better- dont know if its just the huge increase in db but it sounds clearer to me. not sure on the damages either to the amp by doing this?
-
yeh. not as versatile as the evoiii preamp though. depends want you want i guess.
-
what do they call the those ones again?
-
well to be honest you have to put it into perspective is it worth 3 times the price of my mag evoiii 500. i dont know. its definatley more punchy and clean but 1500quid is a lot of dosh on a head. your nearly knocking on messa's door. and they are the best heads ive ever played. ill probaby be going back there soon anyway so next time ill spend more time on it. i didnt know too much about it a few months ago but the guys at ashdown said here try this head it will be comming out in a few months. i was only plugged into it for 3mins or so. but since then ive had the abm evoiii which i love
-
ive used this bta amp at ashdowns headquaters about 3months ago when it was stil in production. it weighs a ton sounds great and looks the tits. end of.
-
cheers mate. yeh the head sounds lovely. i used to have a peavey which i swore i would never change, but this head convinced me otherwise
-
yeh the carpet is wicked isnit!! i no i no the pics take 1 minute to load on my interent connection aswel when you click on them. sorry worth the wait though aye
-
yeh i do a lot of printing so i take them in large format. sorry!! glad you like it. to be hojnest i dont really polish the chrome very often, its a bugger to keep clean.
-
took the camera to my studio today and took some pics of my rig. enjoy! ive got: ashdown 500abm evo III rackmount head peavey 410 tvx cab. ibanez ltd edition sr20th. pedals inc: compressor, chorus, synth, phaser, blowtourch, ibanez distortion/overdrive, tuner. samson pro power conditioner on its way.
-
its cheaper than buying a new power station i know that!!!
-
ok i have a powerbank which runs all my pedals. bought the mxr blowtourch this week. been running it through the powerbank. then today realised it needs an 18v power supply. ?? why does it need this? my current one seemed to run it fine!
-
ermm i would say intermediate level really. ive been playing for years but i wouldnt say i was advanced. im in the southeast essex area.
-
Just an idea: I don't know if there are many players going that don't already do their own setups, but If anyone wants a free setup on their own bass while learning how to do it as a one to one tutorial including trussrod tweaking, bridge & pickup adjustments and possibly neck shim, I'm happy to do that - maybe we could have a setup bar if there's much demand & anyone else wants to throw their hat into the ring?
that would be great for me! i could do with some setup help on my ibanez! great stuff .
-
count me in! ill try and bring my ashdown evo111 575w head with peavey cab. ibanez sr20th bass and a few pedals.

to be honest mate, its soo versitle you can make it how you want it to sound. blues through to metal its capiable of it all. i set it so it gives me a thump in the low end but enough twag in the top end. you really can boost the bass or treble depending on what you want. i love it .
-
can you not turn up without equipment then?
