Got a set of Epiphone Thunderbird stock PUPs here for sale. I was given a set of the Gibson stock PUPs to throw in it so now I have these spare.. Not really sure what to expect for these. This site lists them as £41.20 each - http://www.rosetti.co.uk/spares/pages/elec...honepickups.htm I guess I'd want offers around £30 - £40 for the pair..? Let me know if that sounds overpriced!

E-MU Xboard25 USB MIDI controller. Well I bought this less than two weeks ago. Unfortunately, the same day I bought this I had my phone stolen. I need to get rid of it to finance a new phone. I can't take it back because they'll only offer me partial credit, so I'm gonna put it for sale here and hope someone takes a fancy to this lovely bit of kit. Its very versatile with tonnes of assignable controls plus the usual pitch and modulation wheels. It's USB powered and it comes bundled with Ableton LE, plus handy VSTPlugin software and three whole CDs of sounds. It's this model here: http://www.emu.com/products/product.asp?ca...p;product=13556 I paid £80 for it less than two weeks ago. I'd ask for offers around £60 posted. It has all the software, documentation and boxes. Thanks guys!

"Para Driver DI"?
Hey, sorry for the confusion - its the Sansamp Bass Programmable DI box. Here's a link - http://www.tech21nyc.com/bassdriver_p.html Hope that helps..

Ok, so here's a little background info first. I've always played the same 4 string, it's custom built - bubingah w/ maple neck (you can see it on my profile photo). But with this new band I'm in, I found it just didn't deliver enough teeth rattling low end to surfice. So.. I resurrected my old Epiphone T-bird until I can find a suitable replacement. The bass has a lovely neck which is a hell of a lot slimmer and faster than my custom bass. I managed to pick up some Gibson stock pups to replaces the Epiphone stock pups (got them at a good price) and I also moved the strap button to stop the dreaded neck-dive. There are alot of local bands whos bassists use the very same bass so I wanted to make mine look a little different. Got this material from work - it's basically heat sensitive, its a bit whacky and a bit daft and I'll be suprised if there's anyone els who likes it - but I thought I'd share it with you anyway! I think it'd look tonnes better as a finish on an all black bass/guitar.. All I need to do is cover up that stonking chip on the lower horn and redo the pup-surrounds - I did them free hand and they didn't turn out too good! Cheers guys!

what a fantastic bit of bass-making, id certainly part with my hard earned money for one of ones, and whilst im my wallets open ill have one of those chocolate fire-guards too. seems im not his only fan... just listened to it now.. i think the first two bars are more or less the same. i know my guitarist is a U2 fan, so ill have to interrogate him next time i see him
-
oh dear, was that interference with a wireless? we've only played BLU in rhyl, but we're after some more gigs now, it just difficult up here - not much going on. i havent heard that U2 song before, im gonna go check it out now... the song was written before i joined so theres a chance the guitarist "borrowed" the riff maybe..? i know hes a U2 fan!

Neon Lie Stone Cold Stare camera wasn't too hot at picking up the bass, sounds a little too trebley in parts, especially on 'stone cold stare'.. managed to pick up all the parts i messed up though. It's hard recreating our sound live but it doesnt sound too shabby. let us know what you think! cheers

awesome

good post from Lfalex there. you could run into more problems if you use FX pedals as some don't get on too well with active basses.

I notice youre already selling a fuzz pedal on your site, how does that fair with bass?
