1. The top knob is just a push-on type. You should be able to separate the upper and lower knobs quite easily without tools.
2. I'm *really* happy with my Z3 but the bass pot centre detent, which was barely apparent when it was delivered, has now disappeared altogether. I really can't be bothered with the hassle of returning it because it's perfect except for that, so anybody know if it's possible to just buy a new pot? Is that an off-the-shelf component? I'm guessing that it could be tricky to find as it's also a push-pull pot?
3. I received my Z7 4 the other day and the G string seems a *bit* too close to the edge of the fretboard. I keep pulling it off the board. It's possibly a combination of the rolled edges and poor technique but would be interested to know how others measure up. At the 12th fret the G is about 5mm from the end of the fret, where the E string is about 7mm.
4. Well, I still haven't had a chance to fully play it (thanks rotator cuff🙄) but I'm thoroughly impressed with it. Build quality is amazing and it sounds great although, yes, the knobs are an issue. Initially I thought the shafts on the blend and treble pots were bent, but it's just the crappy knobs that won't seat flat on the shafts - reminds me of a playground witch's hat as I turn them. They're aluminium, but have a plastic bush inside, and I think that's the issue. Anyway, easily sorted and for the price of the bass it's no great hardship to spend a few more quid, and it's only aesthetic - they function perfectly well.
5. Could you post a link to the set you ordered please? I've got a Z7 in Antique White arriving today so it looks like I'll be ordering a set of new knobs based on everyone's feedback. That "burgundy" finish looks really nice. It's not really burgundy though, is it?
6. Necro-thread bump (kinda). I've been thinking of upgrading from my Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe, and the SGT-DI and Darkglass Infinity were in the running, with the SGT in the lead purely on cost. I did have a thought though, which occurred to me when reading the SGT manual. With the Ampeg brand now owned by Yamaha who also own Line 6, is the SGT-DI just repackaged Line 6 technology using HX modelling? With that in mind, would I be better off purchasing a used HX Stomp as a more versatile device? I know the SGT has an thru output in addition to the preamp out but the HX Stomp can also be configured to provide some of that functionality with the send block.
7. Bought a Squier Dimension IV from Tom late on Sunday evening, and I had it in my sweaty mitts at 09.30 this morning! It can't get better than that! Thanks Tom!

9. Joyo Ultimate Drive. Excellent condition, but battery cover missing. £20 delivered, but will knock a bit off for collection from Leicester. Looking for a chorus pedal.
10. Bought a Johnny Shredfreak PSU from Ian. All arrived well packaged and intact. Paypal caused me grief and accidentally paid Ian twice, but he sorted it quickly with no issues whatsoever. Thanks mate. Bod.

Hi, what are the dimensions? If it's shallower than my current PSU, I may just take it... Ta, Bod.
13. Thanks Chris, looking forward to giving it a blast later. Deal with confidence folks, he's a top bloke.
14. I bought this a few weeks ago, and I'm only selling because I've now bought the keyboard version which contains all the features of this and more. It's a great little piece of kit. It automatically configures and maps onscreen dials and sliders to the physical touch sensitive knobs. I've been using it for controlling Reason and Reaper and it does the job nicely. It's boxed with USB cable and receipt for warranty purposes. It's in perfect condition! £50 delivered. If anyone wishes to collect, I'm in Leicester. 15. Hi, I was given this as a gift but have absolutely no use for it. It's a little battery powered guitar headphone amp that runs off 2xAAA batteries. It's unused in its original packaging. http://www.voxamps.com/amplug £25 posted? Ta, Bod.
16.
On stadium arcadium the vinyl had a different master and sounded much much nicer and more open/spacious. I'm actually thinking of buying an record player because there are now a number of new albums which sound better on vinyl.
That makes sense. The physical restrictions of vinyl mean that they can't get away with it as easily. For example, excessive bass could cause the needle to jump out of the groove, so they have to master it accordingly.
17. I've listened to it a few times and I'm reserving judgement on the songs so far. It took me a while to get into Stadium Arcadium. HOWEVER, the mastering is atrocious. Just like Californication it's overly compressed and distorted throughout. Why spend so much money producing an album only to ruin it during the mastering process. sigh.
18. Hi, Bought a Line6 Backtrack+Mic from Steve. A perfect transaction with super-friendly communication and quick delivery. Top man! Cheers, Wayne.
19. Just sold Bassbloke a Hercules wall hanger. Very prompt payment and great communication. Thanks!
