I've played with these guys a couple of times - good musos and nice people. Free bump, good luck chaps!

Sad to see this nifty little bugger go, but in need of cash. Best way I can describe this is a badass bass exciter. It's got a 2-band EQ with the low frequency being switchable. Gives your tone a really nice "mastered" sort of finish. The added control over the lows in particular makes it a brilliant trick to have up your sleave to get consistency if you frequently play through different cabs and in different spaces. Can be placed pretty much anywhere in the signal chain of a bigger board with interesting results, my favourite place being post-compression but pre-distortion/fuzz. It's given every dirty pedal I've put in front of it a new lease of life, fuzzes in particular scream. If you've used SFX stuff before, you'll know that Max's build quality is great and the noise is minimal. This comes in one of his teeny-tiny micro enclosures with staggered I/O on the sides, power at the back, and a good action on the stomp. Absolutely mint condition - its mainly been used in my recording rig, and whenever it's been on my gigging board it's been sheltered in the "always on" section. I'm looking for £75 inc delivery to your door. If you live close enough to South West London to collect it then I'll knock a few quid off. Cheers Scott

Thought I'd pop this up here as proof that I do get around to making rumbly noises with all the gear I buy off BC. This is my band, The Mariana Hollow. the song "Your Halo" is taken from our second record which will be out February 13th. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI8Xrup5akw I realise there's not much to comment on in the way of fancy bass chops on this tune, but any feedback on my tone or what we do as a band is welcome... it's good to talk Cheers Scott

I got this imported from the states yonks ago when I was working toward getting a rack together, but never actually got around to using it. The kit will allow you to secure your Genz Benz Shuttle 3.0 or 6.0 in a rack, taking up 2 spaces. Mint condition and comes complete with all the screws. £35 new from Bass Direct not including shipping, so let's say £25 direct to your door for this (remember, it's never been used). If you live near enough to South West London to collect it, knock off a fiver and let me know when you'd like to pick it up. Cheers Scott

Line 6 Bass Pod XT, with the genuine Line 6 power supply and box. The box has definitely seen better days (it's been through 2 house moves), but the Pod itself is in perfect working order and not looking too knackered to take out. I'm after £75 including delivery. If you live near enough to South West London to collect then I can knock a couple of quid off. I'll take Paypal, bank transfer or cash on collection. Trades-wise, I'm after a set of in-ear monitors, or a decent gig bag... whatcha got? Scott

SOLD - Boss AC-3 Acoustic Simulator - £55 posted - new photos
Scotticus replied to Walker's topic in Effects For Sale
Hi, Don't suppose you've got any sound clips of this in action, or can dig up any Youtube clips of it being used on bass? Very interested in taking it off your hands for some acoustic gigs I've got coming up, but so far, all I've found is a bunch of people on TB saying they've tried it on bass and it sucked. I want to not believe them, it's a cool idea. Scott -
Igig G515 user seeking a lighter gig bag
Scotticus replied to Scotticus's topic in Accessories and Misc
have you tried mono gig bags?
The storage is what's put me off Mono, the GB can just about be stuffed in there, but that's your lot. I guess I'm aiming for somewhere in-between the Mono and the storage beast that is the Igig. -
Hey all, So for the last year or so, I've been using an Igig G515 bag. It's every bit as insanely roomy and well built as the hype would have you believe. Trouble is, with that build quality comes weight. I'm carrying my bass around practically all day everyday now, and desperately need a more compact lighter bag without sacrificing much in the way of storage space. I'm seeing plenty of slimmer fit and lighter looking bags on the market, but having doubts over whether any of those will be able to stash my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 head. I know GB make a case for the shuttle, but I've already got my hands full when traveling with a pedalboard bag, so that's not really an option. Any recommendations? Price is almost no object if it'll be light enough that I can wake up and not ache again. Cheers Scott

Nice work chaps! As a blind user relying on some fairly weird navigational methods, this new layout is muchos muchos less cluttered, and muchos muchos more efficient for me. Haven't tried out the mobile version yet, I'm saving it as a little treat to while away time on the train tomorrow.

Hey all, Picked this up from a fellow basschatter not too long ago, you can find the original sale thread and a pic over yonder: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;hl=Zoom+b2.1u Very sturdy metal construction, the unit sounds great, and it's been handily doubling up as a recording interface via the USB. Still in good condition, and comes supplied with the original Zoom power supply. Only reason I'm moving it on is that I'm looking to get the amount of stuff I travel around with everyday down to the absolute minimum. I'd happily swap this for a Korg Pandora PX4B or PX5B. Would sell for £55 inc UK postage. If you have something similar to a Pandora (needs to have a metronome onboard) or an offer in mind, give me a shout, I'm easily tempted. Cheers Scott

Recently bought a bass pod XT from Jose. Good price, quick delivery, safely packed and friendly comms throughout. There was a bit of a mix up, the pod arrived with the wrong Line 6 power supply, but Jose fixed that as soon as humanly possible and even covered return postage. Top bloke to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again.

Bump to subscribe via email, forgot to do it in the first post.

Are you wise in the ways of low end? Do you have fingers of doom which you use to play rock/metal/proggy stuff? Would you like to teach me some of that shiz? I've been playing for about 2 years, in a band since day 1 (switched away from guitar to get into this lineup and have never regretted it). Having just started to take on session work outside of the band, I've realised that there are gaps in my theoretical knowledge, I still have some bad "guitary" habits to shake out of my technique, and I could do with a weekly kick up the jacksy from a much better bass player. One slight oddety is that I'm totally blind, so you'd need to be able to break theory down verbally rather than showing me it on paper, and describe new techniques and/or be willing to adjust my grubby paws from time to time (I promise the blindness isn't contagious ). Other than those two things, it hasn't made a difference in my previous lessons on other instruments. Still, thought it was worth mentioning. Price-wise, I have £25 per hour to spend on this. Ideally lessons would take place at my humble abode in Wimbledon (apparently I make tea like horse piddle, but squash and biscuits will be provided). I can travel to you if needs be, so long as you're somewhere close to a station within half an hour of Wimbledon. Any takers? Shoot me a pm if you're interested and we'll go from there. Looking to start ASAP. Cheers Scott

I purchased the Zoom B2.1U mentioned above from Dandini (seems safe to assume it's the same one, how many Zoom's can one man need). Fast and friendly replies to my questions, and the pedal arrived securely packed. I'd happily do business with Dan again.
Did the X&M go in the end?
The X&M had to go back to SFX for a repair, but Martinski has called dibs on it when it returns in full working order. I can give you a shout if things don't work out as planned, but it's looking like a done deal at the moment. Cheers Scott
