1. ]Annoyingly, I appear to have outgrown my PedalTrain Mini by what's probably less than an inch, but no amount of feng shui is making it better. I tracked down a used PT Junior, so my Mini is now up for grabs. It's a touch over 3 months old, and both board and soft case are in mint condition. At the moment the board has Bonding Solutions Pedalboard Tape on it (compatible with velcro), which can either be left on or removed before I send it to you. £55 including postage, £50 if you'd rather collect from South West London, and trades aren't out of the question. I'm particularly after a more zingy compressor than my Barber TonePress, would be happy to put some cash your way on top of the PT Mini if you have something suitable. Cheers Scott
2.
You should have a look at fanned frets if you're that serious about scale length.
You have no idea how much restraint it's taken for me not to splurge on a Dingwall already. I buy pretty much everything online to avoid going into shops that stock them, because I know I'll leave with one. To answer the inevitable question, I'm holding off partly due to a lack of funds, and partly because I'm still battling some bad guitar player habbits and techniques - don't want to throw fanned frets into the mix until I feel like I've cleaned my act up.
3.
It weighs in at a lovely 10.5 lb's
Ah, bit heavier than I was hoping for. Had a Yamaha 4 string that got me started a few years ago that felt like it was made of feathers once it was on your shoulder. Good luck with the sale Scott
4. My first bass was one of these. Originally picked it up for bedroom noodling but it ended up being recorded quite a lot more than anticipated. If I hadn't have needed cash to get an extra string involved sharp ish, I'd probably not have sold it on. Really nice sound and playability for the price.
5.
Mine's blue and it ain't going nowhere. Why're you guys getting rid of these, they're amazing?
Fair question. I'm 100% with you that sound-wise it's an awesome bass. I've talked myself into trading because I'm spending way more time down low nowadays so could probably do with 35" scale, and there are plans afoot for my band to make a video next month so it's probably time to do something about the fact that Corvettes don't push the gearporn button for me quite as often as Streamers do.
6. Hmmm... intriguing! Do you know the weight of it?
7. Bassdude BE - keep an eye on the thread. There'll be pics here in the next 24 hours. Weirdly, my $$ post has just landed right on top of another $$ trade in the same finish. Ooh err.
8. Anybody interested in acquiring a Warwick $$ 5er? It's the nirvana black finish, in good shape. It would come to you freshly setup, and I've still got the original tags, manual, wax, truss rod tool and rather snazzy Warwick folder thingy to keep it all in too. The pics give you a pretty good idea of the condition. Note the dink on the lower stubby horn, you'd have to already know it was there to see it when the bass is being played on stage. There is also a small patch on the back of the body where the grain of the wood can be felt more clearly (presumably buckle rash). It hasn't actually damaged the finish, so wouldn't show up on the camera - I tried. Trade considerations: Only interested in 5 strings 35" scale minimum Tend to be drawn to darker finishes, love grainy woods too Would happily go for another Warwick (especially a Streamer $$) Cash on top to make a fair deal considered (both ways are possible). Since people have been asking, I'd part with it for £800 (UK shipping included). Collection/demoing is welcome if you can get to South West London, and obviously if you were picking it up in person I'd deduct a bit from the price. I'm going into it with a very open mind. Drop me a PM with whatever you've got, be it a trade or an offer, and we'll take it from there. Cheers Scott
9. Things that go bump in the night...
10. Bump Could it be Sansamp Sunday?
11. PM'd
12. Bump for two price reductions on the XXL (it's now the cheapest XXL on basschat) and the Barber TonePress (it's still awesome, just a tenner cheaper to own that awesomeness). Still got an eye open for trades, particularly interested in a slightly zingier compressor.
13. I bought a Maverick S5 bass from Wilco. Easy chap to deal with via PM, the replies were timely and always helpful. When we met to complete the transaction, he was on time and happy to let me plonk until I was 100% sure about buying the S5. Done and dusted, kippers and custard.
14. Boss NS-2 is a goner now. The rest is still up for grabs, and the VT Bass still hasn't reappeared
15. Bump. Immediate cash flow problems has been solved, so I'm a bit more partial to the idea of trades.
16. This is on hold for either a Friday night or Saturday morning colection. If the deal falls through, it'll be back.
17. Just a busy-in-here-today bump to get my precious back on the first page...
18.
That is possibly one of the coolest basses I've ever seen and if I had the money free I'd snap it up! Don't suppose you're interested in any trades are you? Alex
Hey Alex, Probably not, but what did you have in mind? Scott
19. Sold via Gumtree. Original post left here for reference if anyone else is researching prices. You probably know what an ATK is. There are plenty of rave reviews online and just as much in the way of disappointment now that Ibanez has stopped making them. Let's open at £300 for this one. Fairly firm on the price I'm afraid chaps, because I'm stony broke. Some raw specs for you, minus the marketing blurb:

Ash body, maple fingerboard
Scale - 34"
Width at nut: 45mm
Spacing at bridge: 17 mm
22 frets (jumbo apparently)
Bolt-on neck (5 bolts)
Strings through the body
Ibanez triple coil pickup (very quiet bass for it's price range)
Volume, coil tap, and 3-band active EQ
As you can see, the finish is a black sparkle. When I got this, Ibanez were only supplying the natural finish in the UK, this was imported from the states. I mention it because you're unlikely to see another dude on your circuit playing one of these. It's been well looked after for the 2 years I've had it. The jack socket was replaced during a setup at the bass gallery a year or so back. Other than that minor repair, I've never encountered any reliability issues. If you're anywhere near South West London, you'd be welcome to come and have a play. Note: the attached pic is a stock photo. I'm blind, so taking decent photos is a bit tricky. PM me if you need closeups of the actual bass to make a decision, I'll be able to get them taken on Friday. Cheers Scott
20. *does South Park voice* Ok people, move along, nothing to see here...
21. Bumpity bump. Offers/trades? It's gotta go.
22. I'm playing a Warwick Corvette $$ at the moment, so potentially ridiculous amounts of sounds with the fancy switching you can do and the onboard EQ. Seems daft that I've only ever twiddled to get a good starter tone to work from for a song out of it and never changed anything on the fly now you've pointed it out.
23. Pretty cool! I've never spent any real time practicing tweaking the onboard controls whilst playing, but I've got 3 spare fingers most of the time. Definitely gonna put some time into it now and see if I can cut back on a few stomps that way.
