Hi guys Basically, after a bad accident at work, i've now got Sciatica which means no heavy lifting Problem is, i have gigs coming up soon and as you can see, I use an Ashdown 410T as my cabinet and theyre heavier than a horse. so, i need some recomendations on 4x12 cabinets that are cheap and lightweight as i've come to the conclusion i cant keep the Ashdown even though it's a great cabinet. Please help guys! I was even thinking of buying the Marshall MG412 guitar cabinet and fitting it with bass speakers and a tweeter which i know some other people have done before and it works a treat, and it's lightweight too. Cheers!
Have a very similar problem as a result am selling all my Eden cabs and have bought a compact (27Lbs) from barefaced its very diferent from the Edens but is such a good cab that I dont miss them. Why dont you try to make it to one of the bass bashes be lots of barefaced cabs to try as well as a lot of other stuff give you an idea what you can live with and what you cant
Here you go! It arrived on Monday this week, and is getting its first outing tonight. I chose the plain black seams, but other colours are available if you fancy something brighter! It seems very well made- not as plush as my old Bergantino covers were, but probably more roadworthy in my opinion. The Berg covers were almost too nice- I felt like they needed covers too! Both the outer cover and lining feel tough and durable, and the stitching is spot on. My only (very minor) niggle is that the handle hole is slightly offset by a few mm to the right, but as it doesn't affect the use of the handle, I'm not going to worry about it!
Looks good - thanks for the pics
I've just ordered a ROQsolid cover for my Compact, and requested that they confirm the location and dimensions of the handle slot before they start making it- I should get a email through by tomorrow I hope!
Any chance you can post a pic of it, assuming you got it of course
Very interested in this, I assume you're not up for shipping it, would you be able to do a meet up, probably london?
London is a pain in the backside to drive into and I would rather avoid it if pos but I'm sure we can come up with some way of doing this.

Allen keys like anything else tend to be made to diferent tolerences and you can end up with a key the correct size but manufactured at the bottom of its tolerance ie 1.5mm key actualy being 1.43mm if you add to this the screw you are trying to adjust being manufactured at the top of its tolerance 1.53mm then you can have a problem. One also has to remember that the quality standards and and material used by the manufacturers who supply shops like poundstreacher or simlar can be questionable to put it mildly. I suggest you find an engineering tool supplier in your area and buy the allen keys singly from them. I had exactly the same problem just recently with a Warwick the supplied 1.5mm key would only fit about a third of the screws I measured it and sure enough it was on the small side so bought 2 1.5 keys from local engineering tool supplier at a vast cost of 26p inc vat total they measured 0.03mm bigger than the Warwick one and now I can adjust all the screws. By the way the smaller the Allen key the worse this problem is.

Try Dunlop straplocks they are compatible with Warwick straplocks so you dont need to touch the one fitted to a Warwick as standard and if you use the Dunlop fittings you can still use an ordinary strap if your silly enough to forget your strap and also they are held on to the strap using a "C" clip instead of a nut so cant come undone http://www.dv247.com/guitars/jim-dunlop-sl...raplocks--35024 Dont know the shop but the product is excellent
if u take paypal and willing to ship to ireland (ups are cheap) then we could manage sumic EDIT.. i can sort some sort of pickup if too much of a hassle.. what impedance is the cab btw??
Hi I have never used paypal to be paid for anything so I dont no much about that, as far as shipping is concerned the cab weighs aprox 45kg it would have to be handed to a company that can pack it apropriatly and ship it and Im afraid that would be at the buyers expence and risk. The cab is a D410XLT 700W @ 8ohms Dont mean to sound so negative just wasnt expecting an enquiery from so far away if your still interested let me know, I dont mind delivering to a location within a reasonable distance of Portsmouth (south coast) for the cost of fuel Iguess it shouldnt be to much of a problem to set up paypal or whatever else I can do to help.
FS D410XLT £500, D210XLT £300, WT500 £400 All in a good condition for age with no physical damage (apart from I have lost the little coloured disc that goes on the treble parametric knob) but has obviously been used. The amp comes racked in a 4u hard case with a Korg tuner leaving 1u slot spare. The D410 has seen very little use as it only came out for big gigs, the D210 has been used regularly but none of the rig has ever been pushed hard (I dont play very loud and always had PA support) I need to down size because a. I dont need a such a big rig anymore and b. I need to do my back a favour c. I cant buy anything else untill I have sold something.
