4. Didn't know you could get no nails tape, that should solve my problem. Ta
5. Can't quite picture what you mean. But sliding something under the scratchplate is acceptable. I only need a little something to rest my thumb on, it doesn't have to be the size of a fender thumbrest, just something to anchor on. Have had a squint on the net and some people have used cut down stick on rubber feet kind of things that you get for laptops etc. May have a look at that.
6. I need a thumbrest on my Fender Mustang between the pup and the bridge. Has anyone had any success sticking rather then drilling a thumbrest on as I'm loathe to drill ? Or has anyone concocted something out of a cornflake packet and stickyback plastic in the best Blue Peter tradition ? cheers Les
7. No. I wouldn't pay to try.
8. I can see the prices in bucks but what is the actual price inc. shipping in earth pounds for one of these fabulous things of beauty to land in your paws ?
9. I have an epi EB-0 with the same problem. A wide leather strap helps a lot cos' it grips.
10. Is there going to be a difference ?
11.
I won't be reporting anyone because I use the mobile version (I simply can't be bothered to switch the computer on anymore )
Apathy , I am checking the T'&C's of the sight at this very minute to see if this is grounds to use my newly found report button
12.
Sorry Les, simultaneous post.
you're getting reported for making me look stupid as well
13. Ahem, err thank you Dad.Although in my defence it is greyed out till you hover over the post I have obviously now reported you for making me look stupid.
14. OK, I'll bite, although I've never been moved enough to want to press it it, where is the report button ?
15. Fantastic feelgood story . Got me reminiscing about all the bands I've been in and where everyone is these days. Sadly our 79 line up will never be together again cos one of us is dead. Bet there's a few of us 50 plus on here who can relate to that scenario. Les
16. Turn down on stage. Won't fix a duff room but it's a good place to start. Les
17.
Fair enough, but might be worth telling the shop why, otherwise they may never get to know how their chosen courier is performing and won't do anything about it.
Yes, of course. My beef is with gear4music not the courier. They usually send an email asking how the experience was.
18. Guy over the road at number 40 (not 36 like the note through the door said) has just dropped my package off.
19.
I doubt your troubles are anything to do with Gear4music
Well it's the courier they chose to use to fulfil my order so I won't be buying from them again
20. They dispatched my order on 16th. Courier was Yodel. Tracking said they tried to deliver it but I wasnt in, cant remember date {19th ish ?}cos' it's gone from tracking history, no card through the door. Tracking said they tried to deliver it 09.57 on the 21st. Well, I was in at 09.54 on the 21st. No card through door. Contacted them xmas eve to see if I could pick it up. Tracking said it was at the depot to be told it was with a courier, they gave me his number and I rang and arranged to meet him about a mile away, he rang back before I set off to say he didn't have my package. Got a card through the door yesterday saying it had been left at number 36. Well it hadn't, Don't know where it is, but I'm just about to go knock on loads of doors to see if anyone's got it.
21. Think I'd have been disappointed too. But who was on bass and was he any good ?
22. I had exactly the same thing. I was in a band that I thought we could do really well as we were a bit bit different and spent 2 years soldiering on with volume problems and a host of other fairly small unprofessional things that we're very easy to fix. I'm certainly not shy at venting my spleen and everyone knew what I was on about and all agreed. But getting it into action was another thing. In the end I said enough was enough and jacked at the end of this October saying I'd play till the end of the year. I was serious and had already started to look around but the band said they would sort stuff out if I stayed. It was quite a painful process with a founding member and good mate getting sacked but it's pretty much coming together now. You are not going to sort this out by talking, you need to leave and get another band. And be serious about it, they will or they won't sort it out and keep the band together. You have to be prepared to move on as I was. good luck Les
23. znr/mix position on the first rotary control. Les
24. It does have a truss rod and it's never had the bridge shaved down. Thanks for all your input guys, think I'm going to throw a few quid at a decent capo before I mess with the truss rod cos' the guitar is great normally.
25.
Is it a capo designed for classical guitar..?
Yes, no radius. Although it is a cheap one, not like my shubb and G7 capo's I have for my normal acoustic.
