4. I have NEVER managed to get a decent sound of any Ampeg 810 cab I've tried with an Ampeg CL, Mesa Walkabout, Ashdown ABM, MarkBass TA503, SWR GrandPrix/QSC RMX, ...... I guess I don't like the cab.
5. I had both (2x SL112, 2x db112 and the db212) Whereas the SL has a definite bump in the hi mids and sounded a bit "hollow" in the low mids, both the db212 and 2x db112 are low mid monsters. They are far more "robust" in tone than the 2 SL112 mini stack. In fact the db212 is the cab I owned/ played longest of all my cabs.
6. Sold one of my MarkBass NY151 Randy Jackson cabs to Martin. Transaction to CZ was flawless. Thanks Martin!
7.
Maybe if you spent hours getting everything set just right, with some creative EQ and compression, and an amp or an amp with speaker simulated DI output, on flat studio monitors, you'd have had better results? It works for me anyway (on multi band originals gigs). If my sound is too boomy for the room, they can EQ that out. They won't have to re EQ every time I change sound as I have them all levelled out
+1

10.
I m from Tervuren near BXL. Do you come to BXL from time to time? I have a singer who is living in Arlon which is next to Luxemburg. Would you consider driving to his home? Greetz Bart
PM'd
11.
.... I've ended up with a pedalboard that can give the PA a speaker-emulated signal from with all my FX included and use the on-stage amp as a monitor. The sound tech gets a good signal, I get a good FOH sound and I don't need to worry about what I play through. ....
That's my take as well. This way I can even skip bringing an amp/cab depending on the venue.

18. The RMI/Lehle Basswitch IQ DI can drive almost any power amp, so it would be a great addition to an active BF cab.
19. Bought a Chunk Systems Brown Dog from Oliver. Shipping was ultrafast and the package was VERY well padded. Thanks a lot
20. The db212 was my main cab for a very long time SOUNDWISE. I unloaded it for a pair of BF BB2, which are considerably lighter. If you want to keep the warm db212 sound, I am not sure if the TH500 has "enough" eq to get those db low mids into the BB2. To my ears, the MarkBass 104HF is rather close to the db212.
21. Sold my Walkabout combo cab to Terry. great communication, swift payment = perfect transaction. Thanks!
