10. Hey Merton, We are on the same page tone wise (Ashdown ABM et al....) I give another vote for the Mesa Walkabout. On paper it has "only" watts at 4 ohms. But in reality, I never reached its limits playing with the same cabs, the same bands I did with the ABM500. It has become my amp of choice! Still curious about the ABM600 though .....and the Handbox as well.
 11. Sold my Squier JV to Pawel. Very good communication and true to his word. a real gentleman to deal with!
 12. yes, it switches/combines up to 8 amps with 8 different cabs.

 15.
I picked one up last year, bought it off of Horace Panter, (so it means a lot to me), its now my main 'Ska Machine'. Cracking bass, big sound. Looking into getting one of those Hipshot bridges, but how do they fit with the slight curve of the body?
No worries! I just put a bit of adhesive felt underneath.
 16.
Which Hipshot bridge are you using, could be worth making the change there. As a pick player, my right arm across the front of the bass keeps the dive & tilt under control, but they were a real pain when I was still able to play finger style.
this one: https://store.hipshotproducts.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=264 the swap is a breeze and finally you can use any strings you like:)
 17. my gold top has a Hipshot bridge and ultralite tuners which both take care of the funny neck/forward dive
