1. another vote for the Nordstrand NP4 wired passive
 2. any idea how it compares to either the OC-2, MXR288 BOD or 3Leaf Octabvre? tracking wise? tone wise? Hoping for the OC2 sound with MXR tracking
 3. Had both. The DB is the best single cab I ever owned/played.
 4. I asked around with different builders and almost all of them suggest going the 2x12" + xxx route. On the other hand I hears a single C4Light by Phil Jones yesterday. VERY impressive!
 5.
tks used to make one, I think.
I asked them. They don't anymore.
 6.
Swr triad?
Thanks, but too clean.
 7.
To me, the DB212 can is tough to beat..very tough, but I run 2 S112's as a lightweight rig. I power them with a Demeter, as opposed to the DB750 with the DB212 and I get quite close. I make allowances for the lighter rig but if I didn't have the A rig, I might not have quite as strong opinion as wouldn't have that reference to hand. I did try a 1126 in a test but had no where near the time on them...and I do like the Mid aspect of the S112 with a horn. I always run them paired and wanted them as a light compact option. Tbh, I didn't need to consider the 1126.
So a TKS S212 does sound like a close option to the mighty db212? .... just making sure I got this right
 8.
Looks like there are 2 ports below the top speaker
Thanks
 9. Is there a single 15" + mid driver in 4ohms available? Looking to pair one of these with my Mesa Walkabout, so 4 ohms is a must.
 10.
I was thinking here. Clearly there's been a lot of thought gone into the design of these heads but there's one thing that always seems to be overlooked; put a freaking tuner in it somehow! I know the case is (quite probably) filled with all manner of amplifier and pre-stage goodiness, but how dreamy would it be to just have an always on tuner on the top of it? Just a little window say 4cm x 8cm. It's not really meant to be racked, so howabout squeezing in an LCD display similar to the top half of a Boss TU3? Then it truly becomes a one box gigging unit. Call it the 900T and take my money, dammit. Christ, it would be a dream to just leave the house with just bass, couple of cables, the head and cabinet.
Why sell people a tuner if they already have one? I am trying to have everything on my pedalboard so I can use any amp.
 11.
I had a single 1126 for a little while, and was able to A/B it with the S112. The 1126 definitely sounded bigger, with more headroom, but it was much wider-sounding - not a particularly good match for the big-booty'd MESA Walkabout I was using at the time. The S112 'speaks' more, and was (and still is) more suited to my tastes.
That's my amp of choice as well:)
 12.
.... The TKS1126 is a similar concept to the Fearless F112 if you need extra input (same Eminence 3012LF driver).
I have played the Baer ML112 and they seem to be based on the same concept. In the end I did not like them when playing with a pick. I just re-read a message by Tommy and he confirmed that the 1126 have neo speakers. My hope was to use traditional ceramic speakers again. So I might be better off with a S212 after all.
 13. Just had an intensive listening session at the sound samples on the tks website. Whereas over here on basschat the s112 and seems to be the winner, I like the samples of the 1126 best.... although I was looking for a 115 cab:) Has anyone played a single 1126? My amp is a Mesa Walkabout (300watts @ 4 ohms, only 185watts at 8 ohms)
 14. What TKS are these you are talking about? S112? 1126? You got me curious...... long time db212 user.
 15. Fender Roscoe Beck V with Sadowsky preamp Good condition, some dings and dents but nothing serious. Specs: 2 Texas-size, dual-coil humbucking pickups, each of which can be run in single-, series-, or parallel-coil wiring modes via 2 small DPDT (double pole, double throw) on/on/on switches: "up" is parallel, "center" is single-coil, and "down" is series. Since Roscoe Beck is a fan of early J-Basses, the pickups' coils are placed in exact Jazz-pickup position when run in single coil mode. An important element of the instrument's fat-and-round sound is the pickups' alnico "Tri-Pole" magnet configuration. Although the pickups appear to have 12 polepieces each, there are actually 22, as each string has two dedicated magnets directly below it, located underneath the pickups' covers. Fender says this arrangement reduces the "double-beating effect" for better intonation past the 12th fret, because the magnets have a softer magnetic pull, especially on the B and E strings. It works, as the bass has a very clean and stable sound in the upper positions, even along the B. With both pickups set to single-coil mode, the bass produces an authentic J-Bass tone across the entire instrument. The pickups possess the crisp, organic quality of a good single coil—but yes, they do hum. (Although the hum is canceled when both pickups are full-up). Switching the pickups to parallel gives the instrument a more modern sound: a sharper attack with slightly less mids. (This is the setting for slappers.) In many ways, parallel mode sounds a lot like a single-coil pickup, but since there are two coils operating, there's a more powerful tone without the 60-cycle hum. Series is the setting to select if you really want some punch: in this mode, the pickup's coils are configured like a standard humbucker, which has more output, bottom, and midrange, with a warmer high end. On this bass the VOL/Tone/3-way pickup-selector configuration has been replaced by a VOL/VOL/Tone configuration . Add to that the very tastefull on-borad EQ of the sadwosky preamp with vintage tone control and you have every tone you can imagine at your fingertips. The J-shaped body is made of two pieces of alder. (the same type of timber used in early J-Basses.) The body of the bass is fairly lightweight, but the mass of the custom Gotoh bridge (which can be strung through the bridge or through the body) adds weight. To keep the overall weight down, the bass sports Hipshot Ultralite tuners on its 4+1 headstock. Two graphite bars reinforce a one-piece flatsawn maple neck: each bar is imbedded in the neck underneath a pau ferro fingerboard. This African hardwood combines the snap of maple with the warmth of rosewood. Pau ferro is also nearly twice as dense as typical rock maple, so it adds stiffness to the neck, which is especially critical for a good B-string sound. The fingerboard holds 22 tall jumbo frets , all properly leveled and dressed, on a 34” neck. lbs 10.1 / 4,6kg 19 mm string spacing comes in original tweed case The bass comes with its orifginal case and the original pickguard and controls if you wish someday to do a reverse engineering £1400 / 1.600€ plus shipping (firm) . Only trades considered are Pre-CBS Fender basses about me: Basschat: http://basschat.co.u...showtopic=64788 Talkbass: http://www.talkbass....gillento.63576/ ebay: http://feedback.ebay...llFeedback" onlybass: http://forum.onlybas.../1617-gillento/ facebook: https://www.facebook.com/gillento
