They are different animals. The MB is much more precise in its EQ as it has 4 semi parametric bands. It is great clean amp The Ashdown is woolier sounding, it can be clean as well, but it gets beefier for pick playing than the TA503. If I would use stereotypes I would state the following: fingered JJ -> TA503 pick P -> ABM500 But these are just generalizations!!!!!
