I buy and sell effects in "waves" At the moment I am selling to finance future purchases. So here we go: - MarkBass Super Synth + Power supply & Manual: very good condition : 220€ /183£ - Maxon CP9Pro+: in perfect condition, original packaging incl.: 130£ / 160 € - Tech21 Leeds: brand new -> 116 £ / 140€ just used in one rehearsal. I am keeping my main distortion pedal, so this one has to go. (comes with manual) All pedals come in original packaging! 8£/10€ shipped anywhere in Europe! more pics: http://gallery.me.com/gillesloes#100103&am...k&view=grid __________________

The Sadowsky SA200 is the one for me! Great sound and very easy eq section
If I take a XLR cable out of my amp DI and it goes to a PA desk that is sending phantom power out will there be a risk of damage. Any advice gratefully received.
It depends on your amp. What does the manual say?
... Dont think anyone can comment on whether or not a DB212 will be better or worse until they've compared the 2. The DB series are supposed to be ace cabs, but the Bergs are still the ones that get the "creme de la creme" tag and associated GAS from me
I didn't want to imply that the Aguilar is superior to the Berg. I know that there can only be a handful of people who tried an AE212 prototype. My point was to the OP, that I prefer 12" speakers over 10" speakers (AE212 vs AE410). I played different Aguilar GS112/NT/212 for a long time. Then I switched to Sadowsky/Bergantino HS410 & HS210 follwing the hype with the SA200 tube amp. That did not work for me at all. So I am back to Aguilar 12" (db112 & db212, this time). I am glad I came back to 12"
Thanks for all the replies so far I think more than anything im looking for a one cab fits all solution! Something i can carry in one trip to the car/venue that would cover any gig i may be lucky enough to play! at the moment these gigs are in all small to mid sized venues that usually have decent PA etc i once had a DB 410 which weight a rather hernia inducing 98lbs/44kg......ouch maybe i should be considering aguilar's DB212 as well as this is only 10lbs heavier than my DB210 Dam this cab GAS!!
AFAIK, the db212 is a hell of a cab! I am with Musicman20 on this: since I have played 12" cabs, I don't want to use 10" anymore.
Ditch the big TE cabs and get 2 DB's.... No point using them with the TE cabs, IMV
Yep!
I found that when I got to try them both too, the Db sounded a bit thin to me!
That's because of the "added mids" of the db vs. the GS. In the mix you'll appreciate this as they offer more focus. When I played the GSs, I put Eminence DelatLite 2512II in my GS to improve mid definition.
Another option: If you go secondhand, get a MB LM2/3 and get a Sansamp pedal like the VT or BDDI and you will have Ampeg like tube grind in a tiny lightweight loud amp. ...
Best case scenario, indeed!

+1 on the Hartke. The GB is rather thin in the lows and doesn't move much air.
I was interested to see that you have both and Aguilar amp and cab and also Markbass amps too. How do you find the Aguilar cab and Mark Bass head combo? I was reading recently that a Markbass F1 head into a GS112 is the business. I am sure you have A/B'd so interested to hear your thoughts?
Well I play a Markbass/Aguilar combo as well: SA450 into db112. I really like the MB warmth together with the more mid orientated db cabs. It really shines with my Sadowsky PJ

Bought a pair of Aguilar 8 ohm 12" drivers from Pete. He brought them along on tour and I was able to pick them up at his hotel. Great communication! He is a pleasure to deal with! Thanks Pete
Hi Finally, you will have it sorted! I still wonder how Aguilar sent you the wrong one, but at least it's sorted. I've had to do a lot of thinking/buying/selling but now I've got exactly what I wanted. Get a photo when it's finished! Cheers Gareth
I am glad it sortet out fine. Here's a pic I posted over at talkbass.com in the SA200 thread as well

Hi Gareth, I got my 8 ohm drivers yesterday and I'll put them in my db212 today. A last:) btw: technically you got "my" cabinet
Everything but the input gain and the master volume... I love the RH450 so, so much. I'm not sure I would if I was a fan of zing and sizzle, though.
Input gain saved and recalled!

I'd personally go for two 12" Aggies any day. I like them better than the super efficient Sadowksy (Bergantino-built) SA410. The 4x10 is louddr than a 2x12" setup, but the 2x12 fits better in a mix: they are simply better audible.
