1. Terri, Hi. I have been following your exploits for some time now, always very interesting content. I re-visit to see what else you have found/played. Not sure if you have ever come across my blog - here: http://flatericbassandguitar.blogspot.com/ If you scroll down and at the bottom click "Older posts", you may come across basses that you have not yet heard of or seen. Let me know if that is the case, I would be interested to know which ones they are. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers.
2.
Hi, I was the owner of the Peter Cook Thunderbird bass , that Stevesmiffy was referring to. I p/ex'd in a deal with Peter for a Strat in 83/84. I have long since regretted not keeping it, and often wonder what happened to it. I will try and upload some photos incase anyone knows of it's whereabouts
Hi. That would be great. I spoke to Peter, when I went to see him with July and we discussed "An interview Part II", as I have managed to get together more owners. PM me, if you wish - expand on the story. Can you also, as you seem to know him, ask Stevesmiffy to contact me - he made the post and that was all we heard from him. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers.
3.
what's the ball park Eric?
Perhaps best wait for the pics. Suppose if you are interested, I should say Oooooooooo, not much. Cheers.
4. Alex, glad all is OK - wouldn't want the old fella to fall out of favour. Cheers.
5.
"This content is currently unavailable" ...
Me too. Can't see anything. Curious to see what is on there.
6.
I think its a 78 would that make it the newer.one?
Hi. It should be the same as this one. http://flatericbassandguitar.blogspot.com/2010/09/ibanez-old-and-new.html Nice basses, classic looks. Condition and original case determine their value. If you have any pics, I could give you a better idea. Cheers.
7.
Hi not sure if this is the right forum but anyway. i have a 1970s ibanez artist that i might sell. anyone have any idea how much there worth? Any help would be great.
Hi. Which one is it? There is an early one and a late one.
8. Hi. I've got two of these and there aren't that many around, compared to other well known names. Nice basses and if you are doing it for you to keep, result. Most buyers would want an old Guild in original condition, so a refurb/re-finish would not do anything for adding value. If it's a keeper and you are doing it for yourself, go for it. Cheers.
9. Welcome on board. Look forward to more posts from you. Cheers.

Brilliant. At last, something with imagination! Nice.

12. I'll take the strings. Will PM you. Cheers.
13. Hi. As per your PM, I'll take it. Will ping the $$$ over. Cheers.
14.
So Mr Eric, did you ever list the Ibby Destroyer!!!! ? Missed out on the wondrous Aria faker as in between funds at the time. Keeping an eye out for one, but would hang on to my loot if that Ibby may yet be coming up . I hate your website because of that STUNNING natural Fender/Explorer/Ox/Cook thing!!!!!! (hope you won't mind too much, I've nicked a photo of the Ox and THAT bass for a FEEBay link?) Cheers Karl
Karl, Hi. No, I didn't list it - sold others instead. Sold my Satelite fretless and a gorgeous pink Jap 62 Jazz. Still got the Ovation Magnum III for sale and will be listing several other very interesting basses. I think secretly, you love dropping into my blog - it keeps your at the right pressure!!! Cheers.
15. My most often used rig is the same MAG combo as yours with a 2 x 12 MAG cab - I also have a 1 x 15, which gives a slightly more mellow sound. Either cab wil make a BIG difference. Used mine last night in a big pub, lovely sound. Get a MAG 2 x 10 or 1 x 15 and a Gramma Pad and you'll be set up for almost any situation. £100 ish off ebay. Cheers.
16. Hi. What bass is it and what size key fits? How long are the grub screws? Might be able to help.
17. Unashamed plug for some good friends of mine, who will be heading out on tour with two great rock bands. If you like Rock, then it shapes up to be a good night. If anywhere near you, well worth a look. Starts Next Tuesday in Leeds. 18. Just bought a lovely Aria Laser Active from John, which he had from noelk27. A truly cracking bass. Very easy, sweet deal - VERY pleasant to deal with and the packaging. . . . . Absolutely Amazing. Thanks mate, top job. Cheers.
19.
Gave up bass making to concentrate on his chat show career?
That's why I can't find him!! Thanks chap, my search is over. "And tonight my guest is. . . . . !"
20. Top Guy. Bought my beautiful Aria Rickenfaker. Paid very promptly, organised all the shipping and kept in touch all through the deal. To my shame, I don't speak one word of Czech - his English is very good - sent me this on receipt: "hi i just open the box really well packed thanx.. and the bass looks great and playability and sound is also lovely .. thanx for deal Im really happy It is probabbly the most pretty fake rick that I ever see and i think the same for real ric could i somewhere add the feedback?? thanks again cheers " Great looking band: http://discoballs.webz.cz/pokusy/frame1.htm Would be very happy to deal with him again. Cheers.
21.
I'd rather buy from this guy http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_6592wt_1270
Priceless!!!!
22. Read 98 times, no response. Parkinson Bump? Anybody? Ask yer grandad. . . . . . he might know. . . . .if he was in a band in Lancashire, in the 70's!! Cheers.
23.
In no particular order, we wouldn't play all of these in one night! I have read my way through these lists and the great thing about them is, it shows that kind of stuff you play/are keen on, which in turn gives us all a better understanding and what sort of player you are. I'll dig out our list. Cheers.
24. Hi. I have asked on here before but I am going to have one last go. Has anyone ever heard of a bass maker called Parkinson, from Leigh, which I guess is the one in Lancs. Looks like this: http://flatericbassa...gh-rare-as.html The Brown one, 080, is now owned by someone who has contacted me and both of us have had no luck finding anything!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bit of a review on mine: http://flatericbassa...f-surprise.html My latest thoughts are - he was a bass player - made one in 1972 and one in 1980???? Any help would be great. Cheers.
