Graeme, Hi. A great site - always handy for reference and you were always happy to help. I think the above idea has some legs - I am not IT savvy enough to move a web site but I know that once I got used to the format, the blog I run is straightforward. As a point of reference, it needs saving, as it is perhaps the most informative out there. Hope someone enthusiastic and clever enough can keep it going. Another side to the story. . . I had it in my LH little finger. I put up with it for ages and then went to the doc. He explained what it was and what could be done and said that in some cases, it does go away. Most people I spoke to said no way it would but about 3 months later, it started to ease off and has now gone. I did have an operation on my hand (not related) around a year later and did wonder if it may come back. Five ish years later, it's still fine. Not sure if that has helped - you, in your case, may need surgery, Good luck.

Sorry, I don't know where it is but think you should have hung on to it! I have an almost Identical Jim Cairns neck on a Stingray shaped body, with two EMG pick-ups. The bass is great the veck is Luvvverleeee! Good luck in your search - hope you find it. Cheers.

I have Blazers and RB650, which is what I think you have - P and a J. I have always find both types of Ibanex pick-ups very powerful and defined, my current rehearsal favourite in an RB650 - but well balanced against each other. If you like the Creamery Jazz, why not get a Creamery P? I don't think a Fender would bring anything to the party. If it's in good nick and is an Ibanez P type pick up (adjustable poles) I'll take it off yer 'ands!! Cheers.

Oooo! That fetched a nice price! To be fair, it did look really nice - well cared for, worth a bit more than the more "used" fodder. They are not that heavy and balance fairly well - definately Different!!

Ok, bit of a long shot. Some of you on here know that I am restoring a Reeve Headless Bass. This is the second Reeve I have, The other is a "Tribute" Twin Neck - Mr Lee! Having tried to find more about Reeve (tried several times on here) I have now cracked it, thanks to Val Reeve. A very interesting story about two guys in Bedfordshire, Ges & Mick - making quality Basses & Guitars, over 30 years ago. Anyway, back to the plot. . . . . There was a very limited edition of these: "Alligator" Bass, which was made for the Alligator Amplifier company, which made the Alligator Combo, which I have seen mentioned on here. Anyone Got one, seen one, played one, know of one??? There was a guitar version, as well. While I'm here, I'll ask again - anyone got a Reeve instrument, seen one, played one, know of one??? Just one of those oddball things I acquired that turned out to be quite a find. I'll dig it out and get some shots.

Sounds like a real bargain, if it is not damaged/bashed up. I've got one, in white and it's really nice. Grover tuners!!! Paid a bit more than that!!!!!!!! Pick-ups not quite as sweet as the other Hondo I have but still very nice. Back in the day, you scoured local press, music papers (NME etc) guitar mags, almost all of the time, no pictures and if there were any, almost all in black and white. GAS was around back then but the single biggest cause of GAS these days, is t'inernet!!! It is SO easy to be tempted and SO easy to go through the process. Nurse. . . . my medication please!!
