1.
Two barefaced super compacts in the ad section. Only 11 kgs each. One is more than enough for any situation though
Really? I mean, if that's the case then fair enough. But I can't see how something so small can do 'any situation'. However, nice that you've found something that works so well for you.
2. Get a Moollon P bass ordered. Good value and they sound great.

Octaver

here's a clip of the MXR M88 octave pedal (not the deluxe version). https://youtu.be/VQK4vFErHF0 From my experience it tracks well with most basses, and is easy to use. It doesn't do that synth sound that the OC2 is so good at, but if you're looking to just add an octave underneath what you're playing, it will do a good job. Mine's for sale in the FX for sale section...
4. Alex bought an effects pedal from me. Quick payment and easy to deal with. Thanks Alex! Deal with confidence...
5.
What's the '57 P at the back? Looks nice.
It's an early 90s japanese Fender. Very very nice precision bass. Picked it up on denmark street a few years ago so didnt get it for the lowest price, but it was still a bargain!
6. Don't forget about tokai... I got this jazz sound recently off ebay and it's a lovely bass. And cheap too! I've gone down the japanese fender/tokai route as the guitars are made very well, and if you get an older one, the wear is for real. I personally hate the relicing thing, and they still feel new anyhow.
7. I'd be going to Mike Lull, or to Moollon in Korea.. But i guess you can guess what type of basses I like...! However if I wanted something a bit more out there I'd be going with my friend Alex Bishop in Deptford. He mainly makes gypsy jazz and folk guitars, but his work is top notch. Search Alex Bishop guitars if you need repairs etc. he's a good guy.
8. Bump. Make me an offer!
9. The mij 57 reissue bass you mentioned would be my choice of the lot. And indeed it is- i have one. Great bass, not just at this price point. I upgraded mine with a bareknuckle pickup but fundamentally they're very good basses. Classic P bass sound. However specific to your gig in the floyd band, the signature will look more authentic, but i believe it won't sound better. What's more important to you?
10. Good basses. Very easy to play, but still with a proper scale length and string spacing. I am very happy with my Lull. It's a PJ5
11. £70 inc. postage Hello everyone, I'm selling my trusty old MXR bass octave. £70 inc. postage to UK/Europe. This pedal is one of the older ones, as I bought it second hand in perhaps 2005 from vintage and rare in Bath. - It is fully functioning, and has a very fat organic octave, great for adding a bit of momentum to a song without totally changing the vibe. - It has the original rubber covers for the knobs, which are to allow you to change the settings with your foot, so you don't have to bend down mid song to fiddle. They work pretty well, but I tend to just turn the pedal on and off! Here's a link to a video I made of me using the octave pedal as there aren't many vids online of this particular model: https://www.youtube....h?v=VQK4vFErHF0 Thanks, James
12. sold*** Hello Everyone, Up for sale is my MXR Bass Envelope Filter pedal. - It's about 18 months old, has probably been gigged 10 times, and as a result is in good condition, fully functional. It was in my pedal board for these gigs. Reason for selling is I just don't use it on the gigs I do right now! - It has velcro on the back for pedal board application. It would be simple enough to remove it and stick some rubber feet on it. - The best thing about this pedal is the Dry and FX level controls, which means that you can still have your unaffected bass tone supporting the filter sound, so when you kick it on the bottom doesn't fall out of your sound! Here's Ed Friedland the Bass Whisperer doing his thing with the pedal... https://www.youtube....h?v=opKs5ZGqVpg It's packed up and ready to go! Drop me a message if you are interested. Many thanks, James
13. I have one. Made in 91 I think. I swapped out the original pickup for a bareknuckle as the original wasn't the best, but it's a very resonant and musical sounding bass. try before you buy, as they aren't all the same. But they're made well and for the price you can't go far wrong.
14.
I bet the Horniman would be interested in it for their Music Gallery.
Would be a vast improvement over their encore precision bass that represents the bass guitar right now.
15. http://youtu.be/QzDxC98VNx8 This video talks a bit about it, if you haven't seen it before.
16. +1 for Aguilar 1x12 cabs.
