Dear All, My Japanese Fender Precision "PB70-US" is up for sale. It's a reissue of a 70s style precision bass, with 70s style headstock writing, and a US pickup inside. All original parts. Made 2004-2005. It's in good condition, with the odd little mark, but nothing major. See photos. The string spacing is slightly narrower than most other precision basses, with the nut width being 40mm. Great if you find the normal P bass string spacing too large. This means it's dead easy to play by precision standards. It's been my main gigging bass for the last couple of years, and has done a great job in this time, and I really do feel that these Japanese Fenders are great value for money- so much so I've actually bought another slightly different one to replace it! you can hear this bass being played on "American Boy" at: www.myspace.com/jamesmorganbass and here: (bass on audio only, not bass in the music video!) not the best recordings/playing ever, but it might be helpful to someone... It's quite a light bass, but is nicely balanced - nothing worse than a bass that wants to neck dive! Right now it's strung up with La Bella quarter rounds, but I can supply it with DR flats or DR highbeams (both used sets), if that's your thing. I can supply the serial number if needed. £500.00 ono No trades thanks. I can supply it with a used soft case. I am based in Greenwich, London, come try it out. Thanks for reading! James

Hi all, For anyone who's into this sort of thing, my band's EP is now up on bandcamp here: http://thousandmonkeys.bandcamp.com/album/thousand-monkeys-ep You can listen for free, or if you want to take the music with you, you can download it for a fiver. Original music/arrangements of video game/80s rock songs... Alex (on of the guitarists) actually made the guitars heard here, if you want to check out his skills he can be found at: http://www.alexbishopguitars.com/ Enjoy, James

Hi, Up for sale is my Shadow Nanoflex Active Pickup. It is an underfoot system, where you put the pickups under the feet of your bridge, and attach the preamp to the strings. It has volume and tone control for easy on-stage adjustment. It is a great sound for a pickup, in my opinion picking up more detail than other similar pickups, because it picks up the sounds going through the treble side of the bridge as well as the bass side. It's in great condition, I will put up pictures, but for now: http://www.amazon.co...&hvptwo=&hvqmt= If you want to hear it, it's mixed in here with a microphone feed also: http://thousandmonke...sand-monkeys-ep There's a solo in Korobeiniki (tetris) that you can hear it clearly. Price: SOLD Collected from SE London or mailed at extra cost royal mail insured. James

*Withdrawn* Hello, Up for sale is my CIJ Fender Precision '70s RI. It's nice and light, well balanced, with slightly narrower string spacing than a regular precision, I believe the neck to be somewhere between a 50s precision and jazz bass neck. So it's substantial but easy to play. I do have the original pickup, pots, and capacitor, but I changed it all over for Bareknuckle stuff. It's still passive, but the new pickup, pots and capacitor give it a more open and punchy sound than the original electronics. I can put the original stuff back in, if you're not interested in the bareknuckle stuff.... The bass was made between 2002 and 2006, not sure when, you can see the serial so you can find out if you want to. It's in good condition, minimal fret wear, a couple of small dings here and there but nothing very noticeable. DR highbeam strings. I'm looking for £600, as the pickup/capacitor/pots rewire cost me about £130 plus the job to install it. Trades-wise, I'm only interested in other precisions, and nothing mexican thanks. Questions, thoughts, offers welcome! James

No footage just audio. It's great though, good sound for a unreleased live recording! -

Hello, I've just acquired an Epifani UL502 amplifier, and I bought a Gator GRB 2U rack bag for it, to keep it safe. The head's feet made it quite tricky getting the head in, and the top of the amp is snug with the top of the rack bag. There are no vents on the top of the amp, and the vents on the side and bottom are not blocked. Is it ok for the top of the amp to be touching the cloth/plywood of the bag, or will it overheat? The amp fits so snugly that the rack mount screws are not needed, to hold it in the bag! Thoughts welcomed. James

If you haven't already tried it, get Transcribe! for your computer: http://www.seventhstring.com/ Free trial download. It allows you to slow down, loop, select frequencies, tune, transpose an MP3, so it's a great tool for transcribing basslines, as you can boost the low frequencies. And when you've done the transcription, you can filter the bass out and play along!

Hello everyone, I'm thinking it may be time for a change of bass, as my Sandberg is not getting used much anymore. Although the naming system has changed, the specs are (34" scale): http://www.sandberg-...lt-series/caltt The only modification made is I have put in some handmade Bill Lawrence jazz pickups to make the bass sound more like a jazz bass. I bought it in 2008, and has been my main bass for 3 of those years, so has signs of wear, but is in great overall condition. I'm not in any rush to move this on as I do really love this bass, but just interested to see what's out there for a trade, or trade plus cash from me. I'm not interested in anything worth much less. Ideal possible trades would be 4 or 5 string precision type basses. You can here it on two tracks here: http://www.myspace.com/jamesmorganbass Sketches part 8, Angelicus, and here: I am based in Greenwich, London, and would want to try before I swap, so don't ask if I'll trade through the post. Thanks for your time, James
