1. Sold Jathan an ashdown abm 500. A pleasure to deal with. Hope you're enjoying the new head.
2. Do you know the wattage and ohm load on this?

Appreciate that Lozz, I'll be bringing my new bass head, I think you're gonna like!
4. Whoops, damn mobile posting.. Can a mod please move this to accessories?
5. I've noticed that some people dislike the sound of new strings due to the inherent "zing" that accompanies it. I'm selling some worn in rotosounds which have had this eradicated over the last 8 weeks of playing. Yours for £8 including delivery saving £10 on normal price and worn in to boot. Cut for a fender.

Joint tour is over, had a great time and played lots of new places. I will continue to update page as and when new dates get booked.
7. Tried this out today, I wasn't hugely impressed if I'm honest. The sound was fine but not to my taste particularly, also the knobs seemed really cheap to the touch, no resistance in moving. I liked the on board tuner though. Its reasonable for the price, I think you're better off buying second hand and getting something nice.
8. On hold pending deal completion.
9. Competitions where they make you sell tickets are a waste of time. You're better off making friends with other bands and doing gig swaps and you won't feel like you've forced people to buy tickets either.
10. Sorry to be putting this up for sale but doesn't seem to fit the band's dynamic. Bought second hand from here a month ago. It's in top condition and does the classic GK sound superbly. It's done 4 gigs with me but hasn't worked worked out, it's a shame because in isolation I love the sound and could dial in a variety of lovely tones. Just looking for what I paid which is £350, these retail for just under £600 so it's a decent saving on new. Happy to post but I am playing several gigs around the country so may be able to meet up. In terms of trades I'd be looking for an ashdown RM500/800 or Aguilar tonehammer but willing to consider other options. The amp comes with all the original features including footswitch, cables, instruction manual and packaging. Abertillery was awesome! Lovely people, a cracking pizza shop and a place to stay, couldn't ask for more. If you get the chance to play the Dolls House, get involved!
12. I've had a Stagg electro-acoustic and construction wise it feels great, really nice to sit around and learn songs with. Its not great when you actually intend to engage the electro part though! If you can get away without the electric bit you can pick some nice things without spending too much money.
13. I had 6 at one point, now down to a single bass which is only a Squier! I think we tend to believe we *need* the best quality equipment when most basses are more than adequate nowadays and even then we end up getting a backup "just in case" anyway!! Certainly professional players may need this but ultimately, standard hobby players (like me) buy because we like having them there to play with, even if it is only occasional use. So, if they make you happy and you can afford it, keep them, if not move them on get what you need.
14. I tried them recently and although not the most scientific test (coincided with new pickups in bass AND a new head) they sound great to my ears. What I don't understand is why the price varies so much. From sites like GAK or Strings Direct they are about £18 a go, on eBay they can be had for about £12.50. Anyone got any theories why?
15. Thanks everyone for the kind comments, I'll be uploading another song on Monday!
16. I used to use schaller but let's be fair the grolsch/washer approach looks far cooler! I just chuck one over the strap, never had any problems.
17. A few years back the Pro fit my Epiphone case very well. Heavy as mind..
18. After getting cold feet with my Ashdown and deciding to move on I thought I'd go Class D to see what the fuss is about. I wasn't willing to wait for the new Peavey stuff so I got this from a fellow basschatter instead, and whilst its early days and I've only listened through headphones... it sounds amazing! Whether the new rotosounds and SPB3 pickup installation has made a crucial difference I don't know but all I can say is that the sounds in my head are coming out of this thing beautifully. I'm not particularly good with finding sounds usually given my lack of patience but I sat for an hour yesterday and managed to find something akin to a Mike Dirnt tone, a smoother, bass heavy sound like Matt Freeman then some altogether nastier tones on top! As such it seems to be flexible tonally but also quite intuitive to make those changes, in fairness it was difficult to find a bad sound. All of this should be said with the caveat that it hasn't been used in the band context yet, I will update when after its debut run out but early signs are indeed promising. Amazing to think that up to a few weeks ago I'd never considered GK despite the positive reviews I've seen bandied about. Just goes to show you should never rule out any brand until you've tried them yourself. Now I just need some light cabs to complete the rig, any suggestions?!
19. More than adequate for anyone's requirements I'd say, especially as a backup. Doesn't stop me wanting a US precision at some point though!
20. This is a great idea, certainly a lot safer than sending using other methods!
21. Nice!
22. On hold pending payment.
23. We've uploaded a couple of tracks from our forthcoming album onto bandcamp. We will be releasing a couple more in the coming weeks prior to release so take a look. https://skurvi.bandcamp.com/
