Will ask those nice chaps at Mansons to check the valves, I believe these have 2 biasing switches on the back with LEDs but if i needed a full set I probably would pull out of the deal (but I don't think this will happen!) My biggest worry is my 8ohm 410, will probably add another 210 at 8 Ohm rather than hunting down another 410 at 4 ohm.

yeah getting a bit nervous about the weight! I weighed my SWR and flightcase, thinking it would be similar, it isn't. SWR and flightcase only 50lbs, SVT head 80lbs. However as Im the poor sod with the majority of the PA as well, ( active subs, passive tops but no more wedge monitors thank god) and a sack carrier is mandatory, Im hoping I'll get away with it. The Warwick 411 is so heavy it's now on castors. Seem to be going in a completely opposite direction weight wise to the majority of people on bass chat! But.....always , always wanted a 300 Watt Tube monster.. and you only live once...

ive tried lifting it and its lighter than my SWR working Pro 700 in a flight case...groan.................... and if you're lucky , you can park right outside this particular shop

so Ive seen a pretty mint used Ampeg SVT classic head reduced to £699 at a very well know music shop here in the south west, and now i have an almost crack addled sense of gas, always wanted one, can't afford it really, wife will divorce me, but damn...........

set mine to all dials 12 o'clock and leave it alone, maybe 1 o'clock on the input, always on except for very quiet bits, good piece of kit but really too big for my pedalboard.

having looked into them in some detail before i got my lad a second hand kit he can fit in his bedroom! The general concensus on drum forums is that only Roland and Yamaha make kits good enough to actually gig. But what would i know, I play bass!

Thats very true, however we use "hard" IEM's, ie no battery packs but it does involve an extra cable to a belt pack. For 3 of us with the rack mounted 4 channel headphone amp, leads, belt packs and headphones it came to under £300 total. I'm sure its the bottom of the IEM quality table but they were still a marked improvement on the rubbish wedges we used to lug around, and would probably be improved again with a headphone upgrade. being completely deaf in one ear, I used an ACS pro for a while as i was concerned obviously about my "good" ear. TBH i never liked them as i thought they cut out fat too much detail especially when gigging in front of the punters. Now however as we have gone over to IEM's I can get a great mix at a comfortable volume as they seal out any onstage racket whilst letting me hear what I want to hear, so for me ear protection is sorted as well as monitoring, can't really see the need for ear protectors as such TBH.
