1. its looks the biz, but then i know bugger all about them!
2. these get rave revues http://www.jhs.co.uk/vintageelectric.html or you could get a cheap squier and replace a few bits. I replaced the pups with some ebayed wizard tweed pups and the bridge and tuners with some wilkinsons, made a massive difference, cheap too.
3. have to agree about the necks. My JV has a neck as good as my CIJ fender 62 reissue jazz, maybe a little better.
4. Hi Guys I have a 15" warwick driver from a WCA 115 pro cab that i replaced with a kappalite speaker. Ive put the warwick driver in an old ashdown cab and it works great but ive decided i dont need 2 x 115 anymore and id like to try a 210 cab. So does anyone fancy a trade with the warwick 115 in the ashdown cab for an old 210 they might have knocking around? Trade value approx £100. Im in Devon by the way.
5. does it have to be markbass on the lighter head front?
6. cracking kit, very subtle but yeah, big.
7.
badass or hipshot a brass not alu version
might cost you near what you paid for the bass mind!
8.
Sibelius user since I migrated on to a MacBook, however on PC I used guitar pro, SNIP, might be worth it as that way you'll get a look and feel for free?
i was going to suggest that but bottled it!
9. Ps this helped a lot http://www.911tabs.com/link/?7132201 not entirely sure how accurate but its fairly close i think. Its only the first part, but the rest is fairly easy to work out plus cocosbassment has a great tab http://cocosbassment.com/ God i love t'internet! and basschat!
10. bargainsville! I've got one of these, they're amazing and not cheap new.
11. this is a bitchin' bassline, well outside my very modest comfort zone, but enjoying immensely, very hard to get up to speed accurately.
12.
Higgie gets the gig for me, has his sh*t together, I'd buy a coffee and a Danish from the guy with the Sanberg but wouldn't give him the gig. As for DK very nice but far too smug. I'd need to have woken up next to Pippa Middleton to look like that in the morning. But there would be more mistakes.
13. Hey Hey Hey, mans a leg-end! Bought a very nice CIJ 62 Jazz, arrived 2 days later, even came in a nice fender soft bag which i didnt expect. Great communication and an all round nice bloke, ah if only everyone was so good!
14. Thanks col now about to start what will probably be a long road to learn!
15. 2nd hand Fender P, made in Japan
16. at the same height as i have it when im sitting down.
17. had exactly this issue with a very heavy 4 x 10 which sold to a pr*ck from Hungary! It clearly stated collection only on the item, he then asked me to pack it (!) as he would arrange a courier. This was for a 50 quid sale. I said no, he left negative feedback which i managed fairly easily to get taken down by ebay as my terms of collection were clear. As stated above, you cant leave negative feedback but you can leave positive feedback but leave a warning or sh*tty comment IN CAPITALS in the comments section which other ebayers had already done to this guy.
18.
I'm a bit surprised by this thread. Give the guy a break. Anyone who knows about bass knows the superfly. The retro glide version is well known. If anyone is serious to buy then buy. The seller can provide provenance to serious buyers. The £6.7K king bass is an anomaly because it was a charity auction. I have one of the 42 jazz basses. While it is the poorest made of my basses the comparison is a bit unfair. It is still a great bass with an interesting provenance and cool SiMS! Go and make some music guys. Sorry to whinge! Big love to all
Yeah thats fair enough, if someone wants it, they will pay, end of.
19.
Last reduction to £1900, otherwise it goes for a trade-in against a 6 string guitar..
thats got to be a Martin?
20. had a couple of interesting offers, still open to ideas! Bumpy time...
